Denis Sassou Nguesso: Congo's president rocked by scandal following viral sex tape of daughter

President Denis Sassou Nguesso of Congo.

President Denis Sassou Nguesso described the clip as a fake invention by oppositions determined to hinder his political ambition.

Denis Sassou Nguesso, the president of the Republic of the Congo became a subject of scandal after a sex tape of his daughter, Claudia Sassou emerged on the internet.

As Newsdze Zimbabwe reports, a boyfriend of the latter had threatened to release the clip if she does not make a payment of $50,000 to him. Claudia however called his bluff which resulted in huge consequences.

The video showed the 50-year-old woman unclad while engaging in a sexual intercourse with the blackmailer who was anonymous throughout the scene. She appeared to have given consent to the philanderer to carry on with the recording based on eye contact.

This is not the first time the first daughter will have her name mentioned in a scandalous affair. Claudia, who is an adviser to her father on communication was involved in corruption allegations concerning the purchase of a mansion valued at a sum of $3.4 million in France.

A report by News 24, one of South Africa's media houses saw the President Denis Sassou Nguesso dismiss the clip as fake and an attempt by opposition to discredit and prevent him from contesting in the next election.

Nguesso, born on November 23, 1943, has been in power since October 25, 1997.

His first regime as president lasted between 1979 to 1992. Pressures from the international community forced him to introduce multi-party politics in 1990 which led him to be stripped of executive powers after the 1991 National Conference.

He remained only a ceremonial Head of State until Congo's second civil war which began in 1997 and ended in the year 1999. His rebel forces had toppled the control of President Pascal Lissouba allowing him to have absolute power.

Gift Igwe has been granted a bail of N500,000 following the first hearing but hasn't been able to meet the conditions.

Gift Igwe, a woman accused of setting her husband's nephew, Chimobi ablaze for losing his trouser is currently in trial to answer for the alleged act.

The assault, which occurred in the Agunfoye area of Ikorodu, Lagos, saw the 10-year-old victim sustain grave skin impairment to his back and arm, a report by Punch News disclosed.

This could have resulted into fatality if not for the timely meddling of neighbours who heard the loud scream of a fire consumed Chimobi and rushed to the scene. He was soon taken to the hospital where he received treatment for the intense burns on his body.

Mrs. Olubukola Salami, the Director of the Office of Public Defender in the state told Punch that the victim has been taken into protective custody. The same was to be done to Igwe's four months old baby if not for the nursing arena provided at the Kirikiri Prisons where she is being held.

Salami disclosed that Gift Igwe was notorious for her abusive act which attracted a large crowd of residents in her community to the courthouse on the day of her arraignment.

Owerri Robbery: NPF immortalize officers who died in Zenith bank raid

An armed robber on an assault at a Zenith Bank branch in Owerri, Imo State.

The Nigeria Police Force named one of its facilities after the security officers who were killed and injured during a bank robbery in Imo state.

Nigerian policemen are getting better encouragement for their hardiness based on the naming of a new office complex after two deceased sergeants, Chukwudi Iboko and Sunday Agbo, who died in a bank robbery in Imo state.

A third sergeant, Otu Attang, who lost one of his eyes in the assault that occurred at a Zenith Bank branch in February 2017, was also immortalized.

National police chief, Ibrahim Idris, confirmed that the initiative aims at giving better encouragement to brave law enforcement officers.

The complex, located at the Nigeria Mobile Police Force 20 situated in Lagos was commissioned on Thursday, September 21, 2017, by Idris.

As Punch News reports, the structure was built in honour of the late policemen and their colleague who survived the attack. The men had put in a tough resistance against the armed robbers who stormed the bank premises on the fateful day.

“This is built in honour of late ChukwudiIboko and Sunday Agbo and other rank and file of the Nigeria Police who died in active service. We cherish their service to the nation,”  Idris reiterated during the commissioning of the facility.

The incident is perhaps more memorable based on the unique show of bravery by the cops who managed to kill one of the thieves. Many will argue that such bravery was rare as law enforcement officers have been accused of taking to their heels when faced by adversity.

There is indeed honour in serving going by the latest act of the Nigeria Police Force lauding its men. But the dignity of the NPF will sustained as soon as they have stopped insisting on taking bribes.

Have Barcelona become boring in their dependence on Lionel Messi?

With many questions surrounding Barca during preseason, Ale Moreno feels they are certainly proving their doubters wrong. Most clubs would be over the moon to start the season with eight consecutive wins -- six in La Liga and two in the Champions League. However, Barcelona are not most clubs and things are never quite that simple. There's satisfaction with how Ernesto Valverde's side have started the campaign given all the questions posed during a turbulent summer, but there's always a desire for more. That's why, after the 1-0 win against Sporting Lisbon on Wednesday, the Barca coach was asked if his side were...

Human Trafficking: Some parents encourage daughters to go to Europe for sex trade

Migrant crisis fuels sex trafficking of Nigerian girls to Europe

In this special report, an official of the NAPTIP takes us into the world of girls trafficked to Europe to become sex slaves.

A staff of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons [NAPTIP], has revealed exclusively that some parents actually encourage their daughters to travel to Europe to become sex slaves so they could send money to them.

The NAPTIP official, Esther Otegheri who revealed this shocking fact to Pulse, said many of the sex slaves the agency have managed to rescue in some European countries like Italy, Russia, Germany, and Spain, claim that their parents pushed them into the trade.

Otegheri also posited that some of the parents go as far as providing the money for their wards to travel out or take them to shrines to swear to oaths that they will not abandon the sex trade when they get to Europe.

"It will shock Nigerians to know that most of the girl who gets trafficked to Europe to engage in prostitution are often encouraged or pushed into it by their own parents," Otegheri begins.

ALSO READ: "Sex Trafficking: 'How my pastor, sister, lured me to Russia for prostitution' - Victim"

Otegheri who was one of the NAPTIP officials who just came back from Europe where they managed to rescue some girls who were trafficked for the sex trade, said that some of the girls they rescued are as young as 13 and most of them had undergone untold hardship and were exposed to various kinds of diseases.

"I wept bitterly when we saw some of these girls who were as young as 13 roaming the streets of Europe soliciting for men to have sex with them for money.

They have these madams whom they report to and any money they make is used to offset the debts they owe the madams or send back home for their parents to pay off the people they borrowed to send them to Europe.

There are girls aged 13, 14 and 15 on the streets of Europe, selling themselves for money. They are so young, vulnerable and having terrible experiences. Some of them are exposed to sexually transmitted diseases because many of the patrons prefer sleeping with them without condoms.

Only the strongest of hearts would not cry when you see them or hear their stories. Many of them go through harrowing experiences before they get to Europe all in the name of making a living for themselves and their families.

In the course of our investigations, we discovered the routes these traffickers operate from and it would break your heart to see what they go through.

We discovered that some of these young victims go through the border between Sokoto and Bori Koni in the Niger Republic while some trek through the deserts taking the Katsina Maradi-Niamey-Ouagadougou-Mali, on to Libya before crossing the Mediterranean sea into Europe.

We also discover that majority of the victims are trafficked through Lagos to Cotonou for onward trafficking to Europe, with the connivance of Immigration and Customs officials."

It has been discovered that Nigerians make up the biggest nationality crossing the Mediterranean in smuggling boats launched from Libya, and many of the migrants are girls and young women who are destined for the sex trade.

"Many of the girls come from very poor families and the parents feel the only way they can come out of their poor status is if their daughters could travel Europe and engage in prostitution. That is how low most of our parent's reason.

Many of the girls have not been to school or have very little education, so they are easily taken advantage of. They dream of a better life in Europe, they see Italy as a paradise.

You will be surprised to hear some parents even boasting about their daughters who are in Europe and when you ask them what the girls do, they will be proud to tell you that they are hustling.

For them, hustling means one thing: prostitution. They are not ashamed to say it and it is very pathetic.

Some of these girls have little or no idea where they are heading or what they would do when they are being trafficked out of Nigeria. They don't know the danger in front of them only to realize it when they get to a point of no return and they would have no option but to fall in line.

They are forced into prostitution and if they refuse, they are beaten up, detained and threatened with juju. It is very sad."

Otegheri also pointed out that the victims of the sex trade live in terror of the madams who run them, as well as organized Nigerian gangs who operate as a mafia team and are used to whip the girls into line.

"The madams are like demi-gods and they control the girls in every way imaginable, from beating, torture, illegal imprisonment and threats of death.

There are also Nigerian gangs organized like the Mafia and they are used by the madams to intimidate, abuse and terrorize the girls. The gang often kidnap the girls, rape them and force them into the streets to solicit for men.

Even some local churches are not left out in the trafficking. We have arrested some so-called pastors ho run these trafficking trade. They pretend to send these girls abroad to work when they know they are being sent to become prostitutes.

Once the girls arrive in Italy or other parts of Europe, they are made to sign agreements to pay back between 30,000 to 50,000 Euros to the madams before they are free to be on their own.

Most of them can spend three to five years without being able to pay up the money, thereby living in perpetual bondage.

The exploitation of these minors by their parents and the organized sex trade rings is rather pathetic. The way our government is handling the matter is also not encouraging. We have advocated for these rings to be smashed by all means but they still keep sprouting and it is worrisome."

The problems associated with human trafficking for the purpose of engaging in prostitution is hydra-headed and the government needs to take serious measures to checkmate it.

Some of the measures that have been advocated include investment in quality education for the youths, sensitizing the people, especially those in the rural communities so as to reach the most vulnerable people who think traveling abroad is the one sure way of beating poverty.

The government should also create employment and skills acquisition opportunities to enable the young girls to learn a trade because a large number of the trafficked persons were lured into the act due to unemployment and poverty.

Serious Indictment: 'Police officer demanded sex from me in exchange for bail' - Female robbery suspect

Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris

A female trader who was arrested during a raid has indicted her IPO of demanding for sex before he could release her.

A 27-year-old woman who is standing trial for armed robbery, Victoria Amodu, shocked a court sitting in Lagos State when she revealed that an Investigative Police Officer [IPO], framed her for refusing to have sex with him in exchange for her bail.

The suspect indicted the IPO attached to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad [SARS], Ikeja Division, of asking her to offer him sex so he could release her from custody but when she refused, he charged her to court.

Punch reports that Amodu, a trader, and mother of four, was giving her evidence in chief before Justice Kudirat Jose when she was arraigned for alleged conspiracy and armed robbery.

The lady who was charged alongside one Hammed Isiaka, on a six-count charge of conspiracy to commit robbery and armed robbery, said she was arrested in the Badagry area of the state while hawking bread and when she was taken into custody, the IPO demanded sex in exchange for her freedom.

While being led in evidence by her counsel, Nelson Onyejaka, Amodu told Justice Jose that she was unjustly arrested by the police on August 12, 2014, at Church Bus stop, Badagry.

She narrated that she was selling bread at the bus stop when policemen raided the area and arrested her and others, bundled them into their truck and took them to the SARS headquarters.

“I was arrested by the police while I was selling bread and taken to the station at SARS, Ikeja. An IPO there told me to call someone that would come for my bail.

I called a neighbour, a lady that helps me look after my kids. When she arrived, the IPO said a woman could not sign my bail bond, which he put at N400,000.

I became worried because I didn’t know any man to call since I was no longer living with my husband and I was also new in Lagos.

I decided to call my father but he refused to come to the station. He said since I was married, he had no hand in anything concerning me.

I didn’t know what else to do at this time, so I started begging the IPO to let me go and take care of my kids since I didn’t commit any offence.

The IPO took me outside the cell to a corner and said that I am a pretty lady and that if I submit myself to him, I would be freed.

I got angry and shouted at him, asking why he would make such a statement to me. He immediately dragged me back to the cell.

Some others who were arrested that day were released after they paid money, though I don’t know how much they paid.

Nights after, the IPO brought out some case files and told me and others in the cell to sign them. He said that when we were done the signing, we would be released.

I agreed to sign the documents on the condition that he would not touch me. But the other men refused, saying they couldn’t sign what they didn’t know.

The IPO immediately brought out his gun and threatened to shoot them if they didn’t sign and they fearfully signed it. After signing the documents, we were all taken to a Magistrates Court and from there, to Kirikiri Prison,” Amodu explained.

Confirming the abduction of the man of God at a press conference, the Catholic Bishop of Auchi Diocese, Most. Rev Gabriel Dunia, said Fr. Adorolo was kidnapped at a bad spot on the road at about 6 pm.

“Rev. Fr. Adorolo was on his way back from Auchi to his parish, St. Benedict Catholic Church, Okpella, when he was abducted by unknown gunmen at the bad spot near Okpella at about 6.00 pm on Wednesday evening.

The abductors have made contact with the church for ransom. The church does not pay ransom as it is not a profit-making organization.

The diocese is calling for an unconditional release of the priest. We are holding a mass for the unconditional release of the priest,” Most Rev. Dunia said.

Biafra: Protesters shut down US Embassy in Abuja over IPOB comments

Some IPOB members on a protest march

A group of Nigerian protesters practically shut down the US Embassy in Abuja following the country's stance on IPOB.

Over 50,000 protesters drawn from different civil society organizations, on Thursday, September 28, 2017, stormed the United States of America Embassy in Abuja to protest the alleged support of some of its citizens for the Indigenous People of Biafra [IPOB].

While addressing the crowd, the Coordinator of the protest, Comrade Richard Augustine, frowned at the stance of the US in going against the Nigerian government's position which declared the IPOB as a terrorist group.

ALSO READ: "IPOB: US says pro-Biafra group isn't yet a terrorist organisation"

Comrade Augustine stressed that instead of the US helping the government in the fight against terrorists in the country, they are tacitly giving support to an organization whose aim is to divide the nation as well as causing chaos among its citizens.

Beginning his strongly worded address, Comrade Augustine said:

"People of the world, let it be known that we respect the United States a lot. We will, therefore, not want to believe stories that certain persons in the US Mission in Nigeria have been funding the activities of the Indigenous People of Biafra, for the twisted intent to destabilize our country.

For the records, IPOB was declared a terrorist organization by the order of a competent Federal High Court of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

This order was properly captured as the 'Terrorism Prevention Proscription Order Notice, 2017', as contained in Volume 104 of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Official Gazette.

This makes it disgusting that a mere spokesperson for the US Embassy in Abuja, Russel Brooks, can now elevate himself to the status of a higher tribunal to second-guess the institution empowered by law to make such declaration.

It is ridiculous that the US Embassy was here in Nigeria all the time IPOB and its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, saturated and suffocated the public space with hate speech and did not seem it fit to urge restraint.

It must also be recalled that Nnamdi Kanu solicited for arms from IPOB US-based members.

In many of their propaganda, IPOB terrorists and leader, Nnamdi Kanu, do not hide the fact that they are counting on the United States to succeed in destroying Nigeria.

There is still room for the United States to stand on the right side of history by either declaring its neutrality or accepting that IPOB is what Nigerian laws say it is; a terror organization that must be immediately dismantled. The United States will do well to stay out of what it is not competent to interfere with.

ALSO READ: "Biafra: Group faults the US over refusal to recognize IPOB as terror group"

Nigerians have learned not to evaluate the threats confronting them with American templates that have never addressed its own problems with violent and terrorists related killing on its own soil.

We, therefore, state clearly, dear United States of America, it is Nigerian laws for Nigerian interest and in this matter, it is Nigeria first, Nigeria always."

Kemi Olunloyo: Snitch Lady says one of the Psquare wives would divorce them

Kemi Olunloyo

This controversial media personality says one of the wives of the Psquare brothers would soon leave them following the crisis rocking them.

Controversial journalist and media personality, Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo, has jumped into the fracas that has been rocking the home of popular Nigerian twin music group, Psquare, by prophesying that one of the wives of the three brothers would take a walk soon.

The daughter of one-time Oyo State Governor, Sir Victor Olunloyo who is priming herself for the governorship position in her state, took to her Instagram account, @HnnAfrica, to make the prediction, saying that one of the women would leave the Psquare fold and become a P-Single mom.

Posting under the hashtag #ProphetKOO, Olunloyo who calls herself the Snitch Lady, said she has consulted her crystal ball and what she saw was that there will soon be a marriage breakup involving one of the brothers as the fight between them is not yet over.

However, many Nigerians did not take the prediction lightly as they came for Olunloyo who was recently released from prison custody where she was clamped in for over two months for allegedly slandering a Port Harcourt, Rivers State-based man of God, Pastor David Ibiyieomi.

Pulse Nigeria Poll: Readers want Tomiwa to stand his ground against his parents

39% of Pulse Nigeria Poll voters are insisting that Tomiwa should stand his ground and disobey his parents since his future happiness is involved.

All his life, Tomiwa, an only son to his wealthy parents, has lived according to the dictates of his parents who tell him what to do at all times.

His education, friends, career, and even relationships are dictated to him by his parents who think they are preparing in the right way to take over the family business.

But the parents have taken it to another level by arranging a marriage for him with a woman he does not love just because of their business interest.

Should he go with the marriage or stand his ground?

Read his story here:

"My name is Tomiwa, a 34-year-old man. All through my life, I have been living under the shadow of my rich parents who decide what I should do, behave, think and do things.

As the only son, right from my childhood days, my parents had this annoying habit of dictating to me, choosing my life for me, sort of.

When I started school, they warned me never to mix with children of the poor because, according to them, they would implant in me the spirit of poverty.

ALSO READ: "Morning Teaser: 'My parents want me to marry a woman I don't love''"

I was never able to live my life as everything I did was monitored and I was always conscious of doing things that would not meet their approval. Everything I did was to please them and never to let them down.

I was very careful not to go against them and picked only friends they would approve of. In fact, I did not have a childhood. I could not stay out with my friends to play, I could not indulge in childish innocence because my parents were watching.

They said they were training me to take over the family business and as such, I must cultivate only relationships that would enhance the business.

When I was 15, they shipped me out of the country to England to continue my studies. I had to study business administration at the university because they wanted me to while I had the intention of studying law.

I was not to date any girl whose parents were not in the upper echelon of the society and even when I came back to Nigeria to become the general manager in the company, I could not go out with any 'low class' lady.

My mother, especially, kept drumming into my head the need to marry into the right family and she had tried to matchmake me with some of her friends' daughters several times, not minding the fact that I may not feel anything for them.

After all, they have done to live my life for me, they are trying to take away any shred of happiness I have left in my life. My parents want me to marry a lady I do not love just because her father controls a huge business conglomerate and they think joining forces with him would be the best thing to happen to them.

The problem is that I do not love the lady they want to force on me and I have told my parents so but my father has vowed to disown me if I refuse to marry her while mother said she would commit suicide and her blood would be on my head.

ALSO READ: "Pulse Nigeria Poll: Readers want Nduka to keep talking to his father"

They have gone ahead to make preparations for the impending marriage without even involving me. I confided in a few friends and some say I should just go ahead with the marriage and after getting control of the two companies, divorce the woman and move on with my life.

But others say I should stand my foot down and refuse to be pressured into getting married to someone I do not love as I would not be happy, which I know.

Please, what can I do as the date of the wedding has been fixed for November?

Tomiwa."

The teaser for the day was:

What do you think Tomiwa should do in this situation?

How Nigeria voted:

Tomiwa should just go with what his parents want him to do - 12%

Tomiwa should stand his ground and refuse to go into the marriage - 39%

Tomiwa should obey his parents so they would bless him - 37%

Tomiwa should prove that he is a man of his own - 13%

Where would your vote go here?

Morning Teaser: 'My landlord's wife is harassing me sexually'

A really worried man

Benjamin thought his landlady was just being nice when he and his young wife packed into a new house but it has turned out that she wants something else.

"Dear Pulse,

My name is Benjamin, a 32-year-old man. I got married in March of 2017 and had to change from my one-room apartment to a two-bedroom flat to have more space.

Since we moved into the new apartment, I have had no peace because of the sexual harassment I have been subjected to by my landlord's young wife who is doing everything possible to get me to sleep with her.

My landlord is about 68 and is married to three wives. He lives with the youngest wife who is in her early 30s in the compound. This lady who has three young children has been making life difficult for me since we parked in.

ALSO READ: "Morning Teaser: 'My wife's best friend is doing everything to seduce me'"

She began by being overtly nice and warm towards me, displaying so much interest in my affairs. She would go out of her way to throw compliments at me, especially when my wife was not around.

She took everything that has to do with me personally and would even have issues with other tenants who oppose me at the monthly compound meetings and would always back anything I say.

At first, I thought her interest in me was because we are in the same age bracket and took me as her equal. When I told her I loved Amala and Ewedu soup even though I am an Igbo man, she would bring me the food anytime she cooked.

My wife did not suspect anything but always wondered why the woman was so nice, unlike some other landladies who would make sure they are worshipped.

She took her interest to another level when she began sending me romantic text messages. I would just read and delete them without giving a thought to them.

I was shocked the day she sent me a text that I should meet her at a discreet hotel. That day, her husband had traveled to their village. I replied that I would find such a meeting quite inappropriate as she was my landlady and refused to go to the hotel.

For two days, she was angry at me and would not greet me like she usually did till I sent her a text apologizing for my behaviour.

These days, she has stepped up her game by coming out to tell me she is in love with me and keeps thinking about me. She has promised to make sure her husband does not collect another rent from me if I agree to be her secret lover.

On the other hand, she has told me she would make life unbearable for me and my wife in the house if I refuse to sleep with her.

She keeps bombarding me with text messages, calls and even sending me her nude photos. I am really choked up with her pressure. As much I do not want to offend her, I don't think it would be right to sleep with my landlady.

Please, I need advice because this woman is making me very uncomfortable in the house.

Benjamin."

Dear readers, Benjamin is not finding the sexual harassment from his landlady funny any longer and needs advice from you. On Morning Teaser today, we want you to tell him what to do.

#DateNightChallenge: Nigerians express love to their cars with funny viral trend

A man's bae

Nigerians show how much they love their cars with a new social media trend.

Nigerians are crazy about cars. In the cities of Lagos and Abuja, you can spot luxurious cars cruising on the highways.

One anonymous man took his love for his car to another level by taking a romantic picture with it.

The man photo posted a photo on Sunday, September 24, 2017, shows a man sitting on the Lekki-Ikoyi bridge beside his car. The anonymous man was sitting beside a Mercedes Benz AMG GTS.

This is no ordinary car and that is why the man had to bring out a bottle of wine to sip with his bae- the  AMG GTS.

You can't be mad at this level of stunting. A Mercedes Benz is more than a car, it is a power statement. And when you have an AMG GTS, you are just telling everyone that you are loaded.

Unknown to the man he sparked a trend on Twitter called #DateNightChallenge. The photo went viral and many Nigerians started tweeting and posting photos of their #DateNightChallenge.

Trust Nigerians to bring a heavy dose of comedy. While the original photo represented affluence and wealth, Nigerians flipped it to bring humour to their daily struggles.

Some Nigerians posted their #DateNightChallenge with them behind their less flashy cars. There was a photo of a man with his bicycle. And two men sat down beside a wheelbarrow. Talk about pure Nigerian humour.

Some have ditched the car concept to take humorous shots at the tribe they come from as in the tweet below;

It's no surprise that this t rend has taken off in Nigeria. The country is obsessed with cars with special nicknames given to different vehicles.

In Nigeria, it is not surprised to hear cars with the names of bull dog, evil spirit, Honda Holla and others.

Another Bad Egg: Convicted Nigerian drug baron in more trouble in the UK

A Nigerian drug baron serving a 15-year jail term in the UK will have another 7 years added to his time if he fails to remit £1.2 million to the government.

A Nigerian drug baron who was sentenced to 15 years in prison by a court in the United Kingdom, will have another seven years added to his sentence if he refuses to hand over the sum of £1.2 million to the government.

Mail Online reports that the suspect, Patrick Udensi was nabbed with parcels of cocaine and cannabis with street value of £1.8 million, estimated to be over N500 million which he had illegally smuggled into the UK and sentenced after the celebrated case but now, the UK government has ordered him to hand over the money or get more years added to his sentence.

During a review of his case, a judge ordered the 36-year-old Udensi who lived in North London at the time of his arrest, to pay the sum after the National Crime Agency [NCA] officers discovered he had valuable assets in Nigeria.

ALSO READ: "Another Bad Egg: Nigeria drug baron arrested in Thailand in a sting operation [Photos]"

If he fails to pay cash equal to the value of his Nigerian assets which the NCA successfully argued in court were the benefit of a criminal lifestyle, he will have seven years and six months added to his sentence and will still owe the money when he comes out.

The convict was said to have laundered the proceeds of his crimes by buying car parts in the UK and shipping them to Nigeria where they were sold on the open market on his behalf.

Udensi was convicted in 2015 following an NCA investigation while an accomplice, John Arinze Nwosu from Edgbaston, Birmingham, absconded before trial and was sentenced to five years in prison in absentia.

Senior Investigating Officer for the NCA’s Heathrow border investigation team, Ian Truby, said:

“NCA officers will not let criminals serve their time and then fund luxury lifestyles with cash they made by exploiting people.

We have worked hard in this case and others to find out how an offender has stored their criminal wealth so the courts can take it back from them.

If Udensi pays up, then he’ll get out of prison at the time he expected to. If not, it’s seven more years and the same bill at the end. It’s his choice.”

During the investigations, NCA border investigators found telephone and email evidence that Udensi headed up a group involved in at least 77 different parcel importations of cocaine and cannabis using 14 different destination addresses across north London.

Udensi was said to use Skype, Yahoo Messenger, iMessage and WhatsApp to communicate with drug distributors in Africa, Asia, and South America.

Deadly Love: Police arrest lady who allegedly killed baby daddy

This young man, Morrison Akinbule was reportedly killed by his baby mama, Chidinma

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a young lady who allegedly beat her baby's father to death during a quarrel.

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a young lady who allegedly beat her baby's father to death in the Gbagada area of the state on Sunday, September 24, 2017.

Punch gathered that the victim, Morrison Akinbule, a 300-level student of Caleb University, Imota, Lagos, was reportedly murdered by his lover identified as Chidinma, with whom he had a baby boy aged one year and six months.

Chidinma who has been arrested and is being detained at the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Yaba, for Akinbule’s death, is refusing to open up to the police what led to the death of the young man.

It was gathered that the duo started a romantic relationship three years ago and had a child together though they were not married.

According to the victim's elder sister, Chidinma had visited Akinbule at his mother’s house in Gbagada around 9 pm on Saturday to pass the night.

During the night, they allegedly had a misunderstanding that resulted in a fight during which Chidinma hit Akinbule’s head on the wall and he slumped and died before help could come his way.

The sister who spoke on the incident, said Chidinma had yet to disclose what caused the argument which led to her brother’s death, adding that the family was being cautious in discussing the incident with strangers for security reasons.

“The lady has been arrested and she is in Panti [SCIID]. The incident happened in our mother’s house, not on the Caleb University campus.

She came around to visit him. We have not ascertained what led to the argument. We have been trying to find out, but she is not saying the truth.

They had been together for about three years and they have a kid. She is a baby mama. The boy is one year and six months old. That was the major thing that bound them together.

We are ready to follow the case to a logical conclusion. We have been asking her what led to his death because there is no injury on his body.”

The disturbing incident was first posted on social media by on Mia Seren who claimed to be Akinbule’s neighbour.

Seren had reported that a piece of cloth was tied around the deceased’s neck when he was brought out from the apartment and was confirmed dead by doctors at a hospital he was rushed to.

This is what Seren posted:

“He went for a party; came back around 9 pm. Chidinma was not home, so he called her to ask her where she was.

They planned to meet at one place. When they came back, they were with fast foods and they went to their room.

About 30 minutes later, we heard them fighting in the room and somebody was hitting someone’s head on the wall. Chidinma did not open the door. Later, we did not hear their voices.

About 30 minutes later, she opened the door and Morrison was seen on the floor. He was unconscious and he had an injury on his head and had a cloth tied around his neck.

We rushed him to a hospital; then the doctors said he was gone.” the post read in part.

Pulse Nigeria Poll: Readers agree that sex keep marriages strong

This worried woman needs advice (Illustration)

46% of Pulse Nigeria Poll voters agree that sex is a key component of keeping a marriage alive and spicy.

Coco, a married woman with three children has been increasingly frustrated by her husband, Kendrick's lack of interest in sex in the past two years.

She has tried everything to let him know that at 32, she still craves for sex but Kendrick is not having any of it.

He has even encouraged her to get a man to satisfy her or get some sex toys if she cannot cope.

Read her story here:

"My name is Coco, a 32-year-old married woman with three children. I have been married for eight years now but in the last two years, I have been living a frustrated life because my husband, Kendrick, has switched off sex.

He keeps complaining of tiredness, pressure from work, bills and brings up so many excuses whenever it comes to sex. Anytime we manage to have sex, he will be so detached and within minutes, he would be done and rolls to sleep.

ALSO READ: "Morning Teaser: 'Help: My husband has switched off sex completely'"

Apart from sex, he is playing his role as a good husband and father and naturally, I know I should not complain but for crying out loud, I am a woman and whether we like it or not, sex is one of the pillars that keeps a marriage together.

These days, we can go for six good months without my husband having sex with me or even cuddling and touching me like he used to do.

Anytime I complain, he would tell me he has had enough sex to last him a lifetime and that if I can't cope, I can either get a lover or get a sex toy to satisfy myself.

You won't believe that the last time my husband had sex with me this year was on February 14, and even then, I had to beg him for it.

I have tried to bear this sexual starvation all these while but I don't think I can cope any longer. People will say sex is not everything but I am ur those who say that do not know what it means to a woman.

There is this guy in my office who has been asking me out even though he knows I am married and I am tempted to give in to him, at least to get some sexual satisfaction instead of dying in silence.

Morning Teaser: 'My parents want me to marry a woman I don't love'

"Dear Pulse,

My name is Tomiwa, a 34-year-old man.

ALSO READ: "Morning Teaser: 'My father has vowed to disown me if I marry a woman I love'"

After all they have done to live my life for me, they are trying to take away any shred of happiness I have left in my life.

ALSO READ: "Morning Teaser: 'I will commit suicide if I am stopped from marrying man of my choice'"

Tomiwa."

Dear readers, Tomiwa surely has a battle on his hands as he comes up against his authoritative parents. On Morning Teaser today, we want you to tell him what to do to free himself from their strong hold.

Secession: Group asks FG to prosecute those calling for separation

Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai

A pan-Nigerian pressure group has urged the Federal Government to prosecute those calling for the separation of the country.

The Federalist Movement of Nigeria [FMN], has urged the Nigerian government to immediately bring the full weight of the law to bear on criminal elements that are hiding under agitation against marginalization to breach the constitution.

The group, in a statement during a press briefing by Dr. Emmanuel Ogah, the convener of FMN, added that the extant laws of the land demand that everything must be done to address genuine concerns being expressed by those using the appropriate channels to demand restructuring.

This call, according to Dr. Ogah, became necessary following observation that many members of the Indigenous People of Biafra [IPOB], have started migrating to other separatist groups that are becoming virulent and could soon continue acts of aggression from where it stopped before the court ordered that it is a terror group.

ALSO READ: "Biafra: Group faults the US over refusal to recognize IPOB as terror group"

Continuing, Dr. Ogah said the Biafra Zionists Federation [BZF] led by one Benjamin Igwe Onwuka, have been swelled in membership by defecting IPOB members, and are now ramping up its purveyance of hate speech and incitement to violence in the fashion of the terrorist group.

The statement reads in part:

"Onwuka, speaking as BZF leader, is calling for attacks on the Chief of Army Staff [COAS], Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai and the Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, including threatening them with a trial at the International Criminal Court on a shallow basis.

Onwuka, who clearly forgot that only those who have wronged the people will go to prison, must be reminded that history would acknowledge Alhaji Mohammed and General Buratai as heroes especially in the way they discharged their sacred responsibility of upholding good governance in Nigeria and by extension in Africa.

Much as Onwuka's BZF and other miscreants are angry that the Nigerian Army has tamed them and prevented them from continuing to unleash mayhem on innocent citizens or to continue their regime of criminality, they must realize that no country gives free passes to terrorists, extremists, secessionists, and separatists to oppress the law-abiding populations.

Onwuka, BZF, and other separatists have the penchant for pegging their ill-conceived demand on the notion that they can get other nations to interfere in the affairs of Nigeria.

This rabble-rouser must, therefore, be schooled to understand that responsible leaders deal head-on with criminality irrespective of the barrage of propaganda and sponsored outcry by criminals and their backers.

The United States under President Donald Trump banned nationals of eight countries from gaining access to that country; on September 27, 2017, eleven people were arrested across England and Wales as part of investigation United Kingdom's banned extreme right-wing group, National Action, which is just one of the many banned groups in that country.

We recommend the words of Detective Chief Superintendent Martin Snowden, the head of the counter-terrorism policing in North East England, to the Federal Government, Biafra separatists and terrorists alike.

Snowden said of the arrests: 'Those who promote extreme views are looking to divide our communities and spread hatred. This will not be tolerated and those who do so must be brought to justice.'"

Continuing, Dr. Ogah posited that the government of Nigerian and its military must, therefore, pay no heed to the shallow threats from misguided elements that think agitation for restructuring or secession confers immunity for breaking the law.

ALSO READ: "IPOB: Group accuses BSS of perpetuating assassination, kidnapping in the S/East"

Only those that make their case for restructuring through constitutionally sanctioned channels and processes must be given attention while lawbreakers should be dealt with as prescribed by law, he concluded.

Sad End: Friends mourn undergraduate beaten to death by baby mama

This young man, Morrison Akinbule was reportedly killed by his baby mama, Chidinma

A young undergraduate has been reportedly beaten to death by a woman who had a baby for him during a fight.

Friends and family of a young man have been thrown into tears and mourning after he was reportedly beaten to death by a woman who had a baby for him.

The deceased, Morrison Akinbule said to be a 300-Level student of Caleb University, a private tertiary institution in Lagos, was said to have been beaten to death by the baby mama whose name was given as Chidinma, at his house.

According to a neighbour who identified herself as Mia Seren, the deceased and Chidinma had just come back after an outing when a quarrel ensued between them, leading to the fatal fight that took his life.

They planned to meet at a place and when they came back, they were with a Mr. Biggs nylon and went into their room.

Like 30 minutes later, we heard them fighting in the room and somebody was hitting someone’s head on the wall. When we rushed there and called on Chidinma to open the door, but she refused.

Later we did not hear their voices again. Like 30 minutes later, she opened the door and some neighbours entered the room and saw Morrison on the floor. He was unconscious and he had an injury on his head with a cloth tied around his neck.

We rushed him to the hospital but by the time we got there, he had given up the ghost."

A friend of the deceased, Adewunmi Gabriel, who is still pained by his passing, also penned a touching tribute for him on his Facebook page:

"I want you to know that I think of you every day. I want you to know that I miss you more than anything, and I would give anything to talk to you one last time.

I still remember the last time that I saw you on Sunday, September 24. You were leaving for a party and I begged you not to leave.

You started cracking dry jokes… I knew I would miss you, knew it would be a while until I saw you again.

For some reason, we hugged… it was not until yesterday morning that our friend, Edet, told me you died that Sunday night.

I still can't believe this; I have been crying since. I can't even get a good sleep without thinking about you. You had great plans for your future. You told me you wanted to be the youngest president in Nigeria.

Looking back now, I wish I would have spent more time with you, shared more stories with you, and made more memories.

TECNO: Restore the spark in your relationship with these 5 tips

Restore the Spark in your relationship with these 5 tips

In today’s world, it’s hard to find time for one’s self let alone having quality time with our loved ones and this makes the relationship suffer.

Things are different these days, with the constant work pressure and the constant race to earn money, we are losing connections with our loved ones.

In today’s world, it’s hard to find time for one’s self let alone having quality time with our loved ones and this makes the relationship suffer.

It’s hard for couples to keep the relationship and work going at the same time. The struggle to keep both going most times leads to the collapse of the relationship.

Is your relationship on the verge of ending? Does it lack the spark it had earlier? Don’t lose hope as these five pieces of advice will help to revive your relationship.

  • Manage Your TIME: Try as much as you can to keep the work in office only and don’t bring it home. Once you are at home, your main focus should be on spending quality time with your spouse and children (if you are married).  The short time you spend with your family would go a long way to save your relationship.

  • Learn to always APPRECIATE/COMPLIMENT: Every human being loves to be appreciated and complimented. Appreciation is the key to getting lost love. Both couples should appreciate and compliment each other whenever possible. Whether it’s on the dining table or on the bed, praise and compliment your partner for the good things he/she have been doing and this will definitely help you sail through.

  • Weekend FUN: Having fun with your partner/ family, goes a long way to rejuvenate the SPARK in your relationship. Plan a short trip with your partner and forget about work for some time.  You don’t have to panic about the arrangement too. Just give the task to any travel agent and everything will be sorted out.

  • Try out NEW things: Of course, a dying relationship can be as a result of boredom and lack of adequate attention. This aspect must be considered in order to revive your relationship/marriage. You can relocate, go to birthday parties or a social organization together, just catch fun, try to bring back old memories from your stories and action, it will certainly help you to revive your relationship.

Lastly…

  • Get your partner a lovely gift: Have you ever had an argument with your partner and then tried to find the perfect gift to smoothen things over? While gifts are fun to give and receive, they also have much power to change the inner dynamics of a relationship. The new TECNO Spark and other truly remarkable gifts, if given, can be bring back the spark in your relationship

For instance, the TECNO Spark smartphone flaunts an amazing 13MP rear and 5MP front dual cameras with high-end presets and an eye-catching design. The TECNOSPARK smartphone also comes with the latest VISIDON optical technologies giving users breathtaking low-light capabilities.

You know what makes this smartphone irresistible? The price with all the great features it offers! The device goes for a retail price between the N32, 000- N32, 800 region. Giving the Spark as a gift wouldn’t put a hole in your pocket-can you beat that?

I wish you well and the best in your effort to revive your relationship.

Pastor Baribor Zorasi and Claire are enmeshed in a messy sex scandal

A young lady has exposed a married Port Harcourt-based pastor who allegedly got her pregnant and abandoned her to her fate.

A young lady identified only as Claire, has exposed a married man of God, Pastor Baribor Zorasi, for allegedly impregnating her and abandoning her to her fate.

According to Claire, the Port Harcour, Rivers State-based Pastor Zorasi never told her he was married with kids when they started their relationship and had promised to marry her but when she got pregnant for him, he threw her out of his life and blocked her from all social media platforms they had been communicating on.

The angry lady who initially threatened to expose Pastor Zorasi when he failed to respond to her messages, went ahead to release screenshots of their earlier chats including details of their sexual escapades, narrating how they made love without using any protection and how he abandoned her when she told him she was pregnant.

But Pastor Zorasi who did not deny sleeping with her, did not seem to be bothered with Claire's threats, told her to do her worst and expose him to the whole world as he did not care. He even went ahead to give her addresses of his church both in his base in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and the Lagos addresses, telling her to go ahead and tell his senior pastors.

Beginning her post with the words:

"I want to expose a pastor who is also a married man for his infidelity", Claire went on to say:

"He lied to me that he is not married only for me to get pregnant and he abandoned me, blocked me on all the social media and said he doesn’t want to have anything to do with me."

Buy Naija: South Korean suit maker proves politicians are not keeping it real

The South-Korean suit designer who makes suits for Nigerian politicians

Nigerian politicians tell us to buy Naija but they do otherwise.

For years, Nigerian politicians have said that we should support local businesses.

We heard it over and over again, if we buy locally made goods, the economy would improve. This has also been one of the main points of the Buhari administration.

There is a key question that pops up about this informal policy. Do Nigerian politicians support locally made goods and businesses?

A video on Twitter might just have the answer to this. A sports journalist by the name of Oma Akatugba shared a video on Twitter on Wednesday, September 23, 2017.

In the video, Akatugba is in a shop where suits are made in Seoul, South Korea. The video features a South Korean suit maker who claims that a lot of his clients are Nigerian politicians.

"On my last trip to Seoul South Korea. I met this suit maker. He has never been to Nigeria but has most Nigerian leaders as clients"  tweeted Akatugba.

The South Korean tailor goes by the name Komas and he has been making suits since 1986. In the video, he points at the pictures of several Nigerians who he claims are his customers.

In the shop, there is the photograph of the former Head of State,  Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida. The Nigerian flag also has a place in his shop.

In his show glass, there are plenty complimentary cards which have the coat of arms. This indicates that these cards are from government officials.

Komas makes custom-made suits for these Nigerians. They are part of his clientele. It's not much of a surprise that he has not been to Nigeria before. He reveals that these politicians travel to South Korea to have their suits made.

If some Nigerian politicians still get their suits made overseas then that creates a hole in the Support Nigeria narrative. Wouldn't it be more effective if our leaders lead by example?

Nigerian politicians should support the Naira and not the South Korean Won.

New Jesus: Nigerian Pastor claims to raise man from the dead in SA

Prophet Anointed Andrew claims he has the power to raise the dead

A Nigerian man of God based in South Africa has come in for serious condemnation after he claimed to have resurrected a dead man.

South Africans have come for a Nigerian man of God based in that country, Prophet Anointed Andrew,  for claiming that he resurrected a dead man who was brought to him after he gave up the ghost.

Prophet Ejimadu, the founder of Christ Freedom Ministries who is popularly called Seer 1, had told his members how he brought back the young man to life after his parents brought to the church, dead.

The controversial Seer 1 further told his congregation that the parents of the man said when he died, they were advised to take him to a mortuary but they refused and decided to take him to the Prophet because they had heard about his exploits and how God had been using him to perform miracles.

According to him, when they brought the dead man to him, he laid him on the floor, prayed over his body and breathed life into him and he promptly resurrected to the bewilderment of the parents.

However, many people in the country have been knocking the assertion of the man of God, claiming that he is using magic to perform miracles and that he had no such powers to raise a dead man.

They insist that all he does is to hoodwink the people and fleece them of their hard earned money and have called on their government to not only regulate foreign Pastors in their country, especially those from Nigeria but to also ban them from the country.

This is not the first time the young prophet has set tongues wagging as he often orders his members to lie on the ground while he is preaching or force them to lick his shoes as part of delivering them from different afflictions.

He is also known to have told his members to bring all the money they have and that he would pray for miracle money to enter their pockets and bank accounts in replacement for the ones given to him.
