Man caught with human eyeball for 250k in Nassarawa

Man caught trying to sell human eyeball for 250k in Nassarawa

He has been selling body parts for five years.

The gift keeps on giving; yesterday, two brothers confessed to beheading a 10-year-old boy before selling for 200k. Before then, Elozino Ogege had her tongue, eyes and breasts cut off by yahoo ritualists and in several parts of the country, people are stealing women’s panties, reported to cost 250k on the open market. There’s a madness across the world.

Human parts are being made subjects of open market sales and bidding. This time, on Thursday, November 29, 2018, a certain 35-year-old Shuaibu Ibrahim of Safiu village in Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State has been arrested by The Niger State Police Command for trying to sell a human eyeball in Niger State like it were a loaf of bread of okrika cloth.

According to Northern City News, he was arrested by the Gawu Babangida Division in Gurara Local Government Area. The eyeball, removed by one Ojo, reportedly belongs to a fallen victim of a communal clash between the Igbira and Bassa people in Nasarawa State.

Ibrahim told Punch Metro correspondents that Ojo gave him the eyeball to sell at N250k.

Investigations have however since revealed that Ibrahim is a five-year veteran merchant of human parts sales - selling various human parts over that period. When he was finally arrested, Police operated on a tip-off from a member of the public.

Ibrahim tells Punch Metro that, “My duty is to deliver human parts given to me by Ojo to his clients across the northern states. We make quick money in this business but I cannot tell what the buyers are using the parts for.

“A lot of people are interested in buying human parts but I don’t know what they use them for. My duty is to deliver as and when due to our clients and collect the money.

“I don’t even ask clients what they are using the human eyeballs for, but I guess it must be something serious.

Confirming Ibrahim’s arrest, Niger State Police Public Relations Officer, Muhammad Abubakar said police operatives arrested Ibrahim upon credible information from a member of the public. He has confirmed that the suspect will be charged to court after investigations are completed.

He said the suspect would be charged to court after the completion of police investigation.

Man says politicians kill for rituals and steal ladies' panties, not yahoo boys (Video)

Man says politicians kill for rituals, not yahoo boys (Video)

He claims that South Africa is filled with Yahoo boys, but we never hear of ritual-esque killings and stolen panties.

At this rate, one thing is certain; the world — Nigeria, especially — is going wild at this tail-end to 2018. Yahoo boys have been running wild, confessing to cutting human parts, getting caught red-handed having sex with their mother’s corpse or even literally going mad.

Some of the ‘yahoo boy’ claims to killings which seem ‘ritual-themed’ have, however, seemed outrageous for clicks with no reasonable basis in the bodies of those stories to suggest that those killings were perpetrated by yahoo boys. That said, this is Nigeria, rituals can be perpetrated by anybody.

Earlier today, a video was posted on Instablog9ja and in it, an unnamed, unknown man was saying that yahoo boys are not behind ‘ritual killings’. He claims these killings are getting perpetrated by politicians.

Interestingly though, he admits that yahoo boys take their victim's pictures to native doctors and pastors.

Nigerian musician officially marries his guitar in Lagos (Video)

Nigerian man officially marries his guitar in Lagos

He claims music is his first love that will never break his heart so he decides to do the "most sane thing" and marry music.

Last week, Pulse reported the marriage of Linda Ejiofor to the love of her life, Ibrahim Suleiman. The wedding created a raucous reception across the media and it was attended by celebrities across industries. That was relatable and dream-worthy.

Still, on the topic of weddings, media has however witnessed some of the most surprising weddings; from the man who married his fiancee’s corpse to the Delta man who married three women at the same time.

Visual media had, however, given us cues to some wild unions from which we never took cues. One of those belonged to Coach Sue Sylvester, the hard-nosed character on hit musical TV Series, Glee who married herself.

Whatever we had seen, we hadn't witnessed anything like what Harri Best has done. Symbolisms are key to real-life concepts and the guitar symbolizes music. This is why a Nigerian singer-songwriter named Harri Best decided to marry his guitar in an actual wedding ceremony on November 28, 2018.

He claims to have married his guitar because music is his first love and the guitar represents music, He also posted a video of the ‘union’ on his Instagram page @mrharribest with the accompanying message, “Yesterday 28th Nov 2018, was a beautiful day. I married my first love, music. Music has been the biggest love of my life, even before I could speak. I would literally DIE without it in my life.

“We’ve had many ups and downs, in fact, more downs than ups. But I’m happiest when I’m with music. It makes me happy, it makes me laugh and cry. Apart from my family, it's the most important thing in my life. A close second is Manchester United, 3 friends, a dish of Jollof rice with plantain, chicken or fish.

“You may think I am crazy, but this is the most SANE THING I’VE EVER DONE! This is one marriage that definitely won’t end in a divorce. Music and I have many kids already, now we are off to make many more!”

100 Nigeria patients get free surgery at Shonowo Hospital Foundation

100 Nigeria patients get free surgery at Shonowo Hospital Foundation

Given that over 65% of Nigerians live in rural areas, it is easy to understand why most Nigerians do not have physical and financial access to basic healthcare services.

Healthcare service in Nigeria have been and is still very poor.  The coverage of the National Health Insurance Scheme is still below 5% and most people covered that make up this 5% are workers in paid employment where a direct deduction from their wages is made into the pool. The larger uncovered population is mostly the unemployed who live in the rural and underprivileged areas.

Basic healthcare services are also lacking because primary health care facilities are short of the minimum healthcare package stipulated by the National Primary Healthcare Agency. Where Private clinics are available, they are not affordable, since about 70% of Nigerians live below $1/day.

Given that over 65% of Nigerians live in rural areas, it is easy to understand why most Nigerians do not have physical and financial access to basic healthcare services.

With this dismal state of healthcare across the country, it seems the fate of the most vulnerable, often times forgotten people in our local communities where healthcare is concerned is quite dire.

That is the motivation behind The Shonowo Hospital Foundation’s free surgery program. For two years running, Shonowo Hospital has self-funded free hernia removal surgeries for underserved communities in Lagos state. In 2016, one hundred hernia patients in benefitted from free surgery program, while in 2017, over 200 patients with hernias, lipomas and fibroids were operated on for free. Patients are screened and selected from some of the most populated local communities and are treated at no charge. This December, over 100 hernia patients in Orile Agege and Alimosho local government area have been screened and scheduled to be operated for free.

The mission of the foundation is to establish long-term healthcare and social welfare relationship with the community.

Recently, Shonowo Hospital Foundation, launched a community health education program to support Traditional Birth Attendants by providing free birthing kits and free treated mosquito nets for pregnant women and nursing mothers.

Speaking the the event, the Medical Director of Shonowo Hospital, Dr Samson Shonowo, said "the continued sensitization of healthcare providers, women and their families about basic health care practices is important to achieve a healthy community."

Dr Samson Shonowo says “while Shonowo Hospital has taken on the challenge of providing regular free healthcare and surgical services to low income communities,  government needs to step up to their responsibility and create healthcare policies that are sustainable and put primary health care at the center of its plan”.

The Shonowo Hospital Free Hernia Surgery program will last throughout December.

Meet the man who ‘sells orgasm’ to women whose partners are weak in bed

Meet the man who ‘sells orgasm’ to married women at huge price

Of all business ideas in the world, Paul Zuluka from Meadowlands, Soweto said this was the most viable idea he could think of.

A 27-year-old Ugandan man based in South Africa claims joblessness has compelled him to venture into a business of having sex with women, both married and unmarried whose husbands cannot give them orgasm.

Of all business ideas in the world, Paul Zuluka from Meadowlands, Soweto said this was the most viable idea he could think of.

He has been quoted by Zambian Accurate Information as saying: “This is the best idea I’ve ever had. I love sex and am great at it, so I enjoy every moment. I get money for doing something I love.

“I help married women keep their relationships going and reduce their stress.”

Paul who charges his clients R400 for one round and R2 000 for 24 hours disclosed that he has been in the weird business for the past three years.
“I’m a Ugandan graduate. I came to South Africa to get a job in 2014, but that didn’t happen so I had to do something,” said Paul.

Inasmuch as he is making huge sums of money from his Man-For-Hire business, Paul faces some challenges just like other normal businesses.

READ ALSO: Man rejects breakfast because his wife refused to kneel down

He said: “I also get calls from men who offer me a lot of money to satisfy their wives, but I’m a man and am only available to women only because men can’t be trusted. They can call you to sleep with their wives then kill you or take you to court for adultery.”

One other challenge the exuberant young man complained about is the fact that sometimes he has more women queuing to be given orgasm than he can handle.

He added that he is burdened when women booked him for one round, but having enjoyed it they change their minds to increase it to three or four rounds.

He said: “It messes up my work schedule. They forget there are other married and divorced women who want a piece of me as well.”

As he keeps giving them pleasure they do not get from their husbands, Paul said some of the women start getting too attached.
“I’m just doing my job. Some even offer more cash. Some times I do 6 of them in one room," he said.

Amazingly, some of the women have testified that Paul actually takes them to ‘the pleasure land’.
Daily Sun reportedly spoke to a beautiful married woman who said: “My husband travels a lot because he works for government and many weeks pass without sex. I have Paul to satisfy me. I’m a businesswoman. Paul’s the best in the game than my hubby.”

Another woman who claims to have a fiancé said: “I love my boyfriend and don’t want to lose him. What he doesn’t know won’t hurt him.”

Orgasm in marriages and relationships is a deal breaker and women whose partners are not able to satisfy them are now finding means of getting it outside.

A clergy hoped to get money from his sponsors when they must have viewed a video showing him in the act of sodomizing a boy.

In Uganda, a preacher identified as Simon Mpinga, has been apprehended following an allegation accusing him of sodomizing a 16-year-old boy from his church.

According to many reports, the pulpiter lured the victim to his residence with a promise of money.

He went on to have what has been described as an "unnatural sexual connection" which was recorded by a friend that returned home with him on the day of the assault.

In a statement given by the boy, he confirms that Simon Mpinga threatened to hurt him when he tried to resist sexual attempts he made.

"In the middle of the night, he started caressing, squeezing as he drew closer and eventually started kissing me.

"I tried to resist but he was strong and threatened to harm me if I didn’t. However promised to introduce me to a new life of earning dollars and being rich," the victims says in a report by Matooke Republic.

Yahoo boy uses his father for rituals and goes mad (Video)

The yahoo boy had reportedly bought his father a Lexus SUV before he died.

Nigerian yahoo boys have been moving mad lately; from the guy who rapes his mother, to the one who slept with a corpse, it’s been an acid bath of bad news. Yahoo boys were also amongst the suspects in the Elozino Joshualia Ogege case and they have confessed to their sadistic acts.

It’s funny when you consider that in the end, all these Yahoo boys intend with the money they garner from these supposed rites is to dress to further the stereotype and compete with each other, and fraud boys.

According to a Facebook post by one Okan Goodwill, a reported unidentified yahoo boy went mad today in Benin City, Edo State after allegedly using his father for money rituals.

Makawai reports that the alleged ritualist bought his father a Lexus Jeep which he drove for two weeks before he died from unspecified circumstances and he was reportedly seen spending lavishly at his father’s burial just before going mad.

After a long day, all you want is a comfortable and safe ride home. To make your ride experience as pleasant as can be, we take many steps to improve service quality.

From improved driver screenings to a share your ETA function, we’re watching out for you on every ride!

Here’s a snapshot of seven practical tips to make the best out of your Taxify ride:

1. Stay safe before your driver arrives

Stay inside the building or in a safe location until your driver arrives, especially at night. Hanging around on the side of the road with a cellphone in your hand or your valuables at sight can be a risk. Remember, you’ll be notified when your driver arrives, so it’s reasonable to wait inside until then.

2. Double check the driver’s identity

When you are paired with a driver, you can see your driver’s photo, name, current rating, vehicle plate and model on your app. Be sure to cross check the vehicle in front of you against the one on the driver’s profile. If anything doesn’t add up, do not get in and make a report to Taxify via the in-app support tab.

3. Confirm your payment method

Using Taxify, you can choose between cash and card payments. Not to be taken by surprise at any point, make sure you select the preferred payment option before requesting a ride. For example, you shouldn’t pay in cash on a card trip. The payment options can be found from the top left corner, under your profile. You can also see your chosen payment method below your ride price estimate throughout your journey.

4. Keep your loved ones updated

With safety in mind, we have a Share My ETA function that appears on the bottom of the app, right under your driver’s profile. You can share your current trip details with trusted friends and family members during every ride. This makes it easier for loved ones to keep track of your journey and know when you’ve arrived.

5. Forgotten item(s)

Always do a quick scan of your seat and surroundings before exiting the vehicle. Remember, your property is your responsibility. Check that you do not leave any belongings behind at the end of your trip.  If you do, here is how you get your items back.

6. Help others have a great ride

You can help your driver better serve other riders like yourself by ensuring that you leave your Taxify clean for the next user. Remember, your driver has only one vehicle and you would like other passengers to have an experience as great as you did.

7. Let us know

Valuing the feedback of our customers is not just a buzzword for us. Your opinion helps us improve the user experience for everyone on the platform. Do report any serious incidents here

Rate. One of the ways we receive your feedback is through ratings after each ride. Remember to always rate your driver- as this helps us assess our service quality.

Report. You can easily send a report via the support platform on the app. Do this by clicking on the profile tab on the left-hand corner and scrolling to 'Ride History' and choosing the appropriate query to send or scrolling to ‘Support’ and under 'Your Conversations' starting a conversation with the team. Remember that you can also send an email to Nigeria@taxify.eu.

Dealing with Bullying: Stand up and speak out

LifeForte International School urges you to SPEAK OUT against bullying culture

Do not believe the notion that speaking up confirms that you are weak for not being able to deal with the problem alone. These patterns of thinking prevent people from seeking help and so unwittingly empower and enable the perpetrator to continue.

Like most social vices, bullying derives a force from isolation. Isolation of both victim and perpetrator. Driven by their warped emotional impulses, bullies seek victims on which to unleash their pent up negative feelings in order to numb or assuage their own pain.

By bullying others instead of focusing on their own emotional imbalance they use the shame, pain and humiliation of their victims as a distraction from the conflict within them.

The victims on the other hand tend to be personalities with a perceived inability to self-defend. This perceived weakness attracts the bully and the victim translates this undesirable selection to mean something is wrong with them to have been chosen as a target. This leads to the ‘I should be able to handle it’ mindset as the victim tries to convince themselves they need to be stronger. There is also a problem in many victims assuming their reporting cases of bullying would mean that they are weak, or lead to more threats or harmful acts when authority figures are away.

Feelings of isolation are also closely correlated with victims of bullying as the act in itself fosters shame and humiliation which can diminish self-worth, making victims doubt if anyone could possibly care. If you are experiencing bullying, physical, emotional or psychological, do not fall for the fallacy that only weak people get bullied and therefore you must suffer alone to become strong. Do not believe the notion that speaking up confirms that you are weak for not being able to deal with the problem alone. These patterns of thinking prevent people from seeking help and so unwittingly empower and enable the perpetrator continue.

No matter how isolated you might feel, please be aware that there are always trusted adults ready and willing to help. If you are in school, contact your school’s Designated Child Protection and Safeguarding Lead or the nearest adult you feel you can talk to as soon as possible, and if you are at home, do the same with someone you can trust. Bullies do not like to be confronted and when their actions are brought to light, it serves as an unfailing deterrent.

It is imperative that institutions of education at every level be well aware of the dangers of bullying and the social and psychological impact it can have on growing minds. Mental illnesses, suicide and lifelong social/emotional deficiencies are just some of the potential effects of this phenomenon. To protect against such, schools must provide an environment that ensures every student feels welcome to report bullying with the assurance that it will be handled in such a way that protects the student from further distress.

At LifeForte International School, we make it a priority to ensure that bullying is not a part of our social culture by ensuring students have multiple avenues to report incidents of bullying. Our students are also constantly encouraged to be ‘one another’s keeper’ and to feel comfortable to speak up against such acts even when they have not been directly affected. All reported incidents are handled with the required sensitivity to protect the “victim” and appropriately discipline the perpetrator with an aim to rehabilitate and not just correct.

She claims her soul left her body twice.

Sex is a hot commodity. Everybody wants good, mind-blowing sex. Sex is such a hot commodity, brands of certain media and entertainment of global pop stars are built around sex because ‘sex sells.’ Equally, numerous marriages crash because of bad or inexistent sex — Love is important, but sex is ‘importanter.’

That is why everyone chases sex down like a hot commodity because good sex is apparently hard to come by. That is why ‘slay queens’ have now taken to Twitter and Facebook to hawk sex.

She narrates how the guy gave her mind-blowing sex and created a storm on Twitter with her narration - several women started demanding better 'performances' from their boyfriends.

Narrating the details of her ‘wonderful experience’ on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, the US-based lady named Jane Ada, who tweets @MsJaneAda advised ladies to find men who will make them ejacuate like her man made her. She claims the sex was so mind-blowing, she cried as her soul left her body twice and she ejaculated four times.

Ada also claims that asides that, she had multiple orgasms that she forgot she had legs. She then advised women to stop having bad sex and wasting their bodies.

Yahoo ritualists narrate how they killed DELSU first-class student

DELSU student found dead with tongue and breasts missing

She approached them that she was looking for a house and they exploited her.

A few weeks ago, Pulse reported the death of Elozino Joshualia Ogege, a 300 Level First Class student of Mass Communication at Delta State University, after she was missing for two days. It was one of the many bad news emanating from DELSU over the past few weeks.

When her body was found, her tongue and breasts were missing. Upon a search, it was revealed that two yahoo boys and a security guard had been arrested as suspects to her death. Today, the suspects, chief of whom is Onos, a security guard have confessed to killing Ogege in graphic details.

According to Punch Metro, Onos narrated, “I was contacted by Desmond (one of the Yahoo boys) and another to provide a female student for Yahoo rituals.

“So when Elozino approached me that she was looking for accommodation, I saw it as a good opportunity. I contacted Desmond who told me to tell her to come back the next day. So the next day, they brought a Toyota Corolla car; and when Elozino came, they used something on her face which made her unconscious.

“We took her to a bush where we first plucked out one of her eyes while she was still alive. She was even crying and begging us to forgive her and let her go, but we plucked the other eye, removed her breast and heart before she died.”

Onos also implicated one Uche Nwaosisi, his supervisor whom he revealed posted him to DELSU to carry out ritual killings like this. While Onos claims this is the fifth killing they have jointly perpetrated, he insisted that Ogege was the first killing around DELSU and Abraka. The first four victims were abducted at Oghara, Delta State, according to Onos.

Nwaosisi, employed by a security company attached to the DELSU, denied all the allegations.

Onos adds, “Each time we kill, we remove the vital organs and take to the herbalist, Robinson, who usually would ask us to come back. Robinson used to burn the heart and pound it to make powder substance out of it. It is the powder that he gives us, which we apply before speaking to our victims to make money from them. Any big woman we approach obliges us and provides money for us.”

Reports claim that the second Yahoo boy slumped and died as the Police . Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Andrew Aniamaka, revealed the suspects will soon be arraigned in court.

The brothers; 18-year-old Ayodeji Obadimeji and 19-year-old Saheed Oladimeji were arrested by members of the Nigeria Police Force, Lagos State Command who paraded them holding what they were caught with; a human head, belonging to 10-year-old Joseph Makinde who had gone missing around Tunde Balogun street, Shepati area of Ibeju Lekki, Lagos.

According to Daily Post Nigeria, the siblings have confessed to their crimes and have told policemen that committed the atrocity for N200K after they were contracted by one Sodiq Abefe, to get a human head.

The brothers confessed that on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, the brothers orchestrated the terrible act by sending young Makinde to buy them a bottle of drink in order to get him alone, kill him and cut his head. The brothers, however, had different accounts on how they killed the young boy.

Chief Magistrate, Mrs. O.O. Oshin had ordered the suspect be remanded in prison pending legal advice on November 12, 2018. However, today, news has broken that spokesperson for the Nigerian Prisons Service, Lagos Command, Rotimi Oladokun has confirmed that Anani was still alive, quashing all the reports.

Bambooks launches Nigeria’s largest digital library

The digital library offers users access to thousands of eBooks, magazines and comics from any internet connected device including mobile phones, tablets and computers.

Last week, Bambooks held a Press Conference to launch their mobile application, which stands as Nigeria’s largest digital library.

The digital library offers users access to thousands of eBooks, magazines and comics from any internet connected device including mobile phones, tablets and computers.  From romantic fiction to entrepreneurship, self-help, religious, and educational books, there's something for every reader. Users simply go to the website (www.bambooks.io) or download the Bambooks mobile app from the Google Play store or App Store for free and sign up to start reading.

Moreover, Bambooks offers an affordable membership plan that gives users unlimited access to the library; with a N500/per month and an annual plan of N5,000/yearly, users can subscribe using their debit cards or bank accounts.

Nigeria has the largest mobile market in Africa with over 160 million connected lines and 100 million mobile internet users. With plans to expand across Africa, Bambooks is eyeing the 450 million subscriber base which is expected to grow at 5% CAGR over the next few years. The penetration rate is forecast to reach 50% by the end of 2023 and 52% by 2025. According to Seun Ashaka Head of Content Acquisition, “Information is available to anyone that has access to the internet and mobile phones have become so smart you can do almost anything with them. We estimate the publishing industry across Sub Saharan Africa to exceed a billion dollars in annual revenues by the end of 2018 and expect authors on our platform to earn a significant share of the market”.

Bambooks seeks to empower local authors to distribute and monetize their craft across Nigeria and the continent. Distribution of physical books is a major challenge in Nigeria with little or no bookstores and libraries across major cities in the country. These infrastructure problems lead to low literacy levels and poor reading habits as many Nigerians don’t have the resources to travel long distances or buy physical books at prices way above their purchasing power. The scarcity of books also fuels the increasing trends of piracy with annual revenue losses to legitimate content owners running to the hundreds of millions of naira. Bambooks solves all these problems through their digital publishing platform and hopes to inspire a new generation of writers and content creators.

There is a myth that says Africans do not read and if you want to hide something from an African, put it in a book. Bambooks, is out to prove that these statements are indeed false and that Africans (especially Nigerians) love reading books by local and international authors.

For Ugo Okoye, Founder & CEO of Bambooks, “Bambooks will not only entertain and educate people but also improve literacy levels, break the cycle of poverty and create a better future for Nigerians”.

A day prior, he had a conversation with his sister-in-law Mrs Elizabeth Babalola who confirmed in a post by Instablog9ja the challenges the deceased was facing before the self-slaughter.

"He came to me around 4.30pm on Tuesday and started lamenting that his house rent was due and that he could not pay due to irregular salary payment.

"He said he was also indebted to the government through housing and
car loans he obtained. He also complained about his inability to meet other financial commitments to his wife’s family.

"He told me he could go ahead and do something nasty. He told me clearly that he was tired of life. I tried to persuade him not to resort to anything nasty.

"I told him life is full of ups and downs and that he should just endure, but I never knew he would end this way."

The deceased's son, Liberty, said his mother was a pillar to the family and wants the Customs officers who killed his mother to be prosecuted.

On Tuesday, November 20, 2018, Customs officers attached to Seme Border, led by one Abu Yusuf tried to evacuate bags of smuggled rice around F. O. Filing Station in the Badagry area, Lagos State when they allegedly Patience Oni.

Reports claim that Patience Oni had gone to the market situated around F. O. Filing Station in the Badagry area when she was hit by a stray bullet allegedly fired into the air by the officers who tried to scare people from preventing the evacuation of those bags of rice.

According to Punch Metro, Patience was then taken to Badagry General Hospital where she battled for dear life. It was there she gave her phone to someone who called her husband, John Oni, 45, a police inspector. By the time he got there though, his wife had passed on.

John said, “A good Samaritan, who was at the scene of the incident, called to inform me that my wife had been shot. When I rushed to the scene, I was told that she was still alive and that the Customs officers had rushed her to the Badagry General Hospital. I am yet to recover from the shock of not meeting her alive when I got to the hospital.

“I learned that the Customs officers were chasing after some smugglers carrying rice before they opened fire on some boys, who reportedly struggled with them. I was told that my wife was at the bus stop close to a filling station around the Badagry roundabout where she was hit by a stray bullet from the Customs officers’ guns.

“I want the government to help me fight for my right because my late wife was my helper. I have four children who are still in school, and I don’t know how I will cope without her. My life is ruined.”

Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Chike Oti, confirmed the details of the event that, “On Tuesday, November 20, 2018, around 1 pm, a team of Nigeria Customs Service officers attached to the Seme Border Command, led by DSC Abu Yusuf, while on ‘Anti-Flying Operations’ at the Badagry roundabout by F.O. Filling Station along the Lagos/Badagry Expressway, allegedly fired indiscriminately in the area.

“Consequently, bullets hit two bystanders, identified as Patience Oni, 42, and Jimoh Aminu, 43. The injured victims were rushed to the Badagry General Hospital for treatment, where the former eventually died. The remains of the deceased were deposited in the hospital’s morgue for autopsy. Meanwhile, the seven Customs officers have been arrested and handed over to homicide detectives at the State Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Department for a thorough investigation.

Public Relations Officer, Seme Border Command, NCS, Saidu Abdullahi, said, “The command regrets the accident; we pray that the soul of the deceased rest in peace and hopes that the family is granted fortitude to bear the loss. Based on the incident report, the officers were carrying out their statutory duty. They found out that there were over 120 bags of rice in a warehouse around F. O. Filling Station.

“So, the officers went there to evacuate the rice and in the process of moving the evacuated items back to the station, they were waylaid by a mob.

“In order to get out, they fired some shots in the air, which unfortunately resulted in the death of that woman. The officers were shooting in the air to scare the crowd so that they could move the items. The woman who died that day was just an unfortunate victim; we were later informed that the team took her to the hospital where she died.”

The deceased’s son, Liberty, said his mother was a pillar to the family and wants the Customs officers who killed his mother to be prosecuted. 38-year-old Ruth said Patience’s death was untimely and wants justice to prevail in the matter.

PUNCH Metro also reports that another man, 43-year-old Jimoh Aminu was also, “Hit by the stray bullets allegedly fired by the customs officers during the operation but survived.”

Wepay customers can now shop without Internet, says GM

Wepay customers can now shop without Internet, says GM

Ravi Narain, GM, Technical, informed the audience who witnessed the launch that the wepay platform allows customers to shop through web or through USSD (without internet).

Wepay, the recently launched e-commerce platform in Nigeria is offering its customers in the country the opportunity to shop on their platform with or without internet access. The company made this known at the launch of the company’s services on 19 November 2018.

Ravi Narain, General Manager, Technical, informed the audience who witnessed the launch that the wepay platform allows customers to shop through web (internet) or through USSD (without internet) with the use of SMS codes.

While responding to issues bothering on internet access, Narain noted that, “the internet penetration in Nigeria, which stands at 70 percent, is good for e-commerce operations but for those who do not have internet access, because they do not have smartphones, data or those whose internet access is down can also shop on the WePay platform.”

16-yr-old kills with machete his crush for dating his brother

He killed her with a cutlass and confesses that he had earlier warned her of the consequences of not marrying him.

Relationships can get complicated, but killing each other will never help anybody. Pulse recently reported the case of a Lawyer who stabbed her husband in his sleep before cutting off his penis just before the case of a woman who stabbed her husband and poisoned her children before killing herself in Benue.

In Northern Nigeria, betrothal is still alive and kicking, just as child marriage. As such, the general acceptance of the practice will make it less outrageous when you read that a 16-year-old boy named Idrisu Muhammadu from Evutagi village, Katcha Local Government Area, Niger State has been arrested for killing a girl he thought would be given to him as a wife.

According to Northern City News, the major problem was that the girl, named Fatima Isah was having an affair with his brother. He has also confessed to threatening to kill her if he wasn’t allowed to marry her.

Fatima was also due to marry another man entirely after her father, Isah Evutagi gave her hand in marriage to another man.

Apparently, Isah Evutagi also knew about the threats from Muhammadu to Fatima and he reported them to the Police three years ago.

Muhammadu has however told Punch that, “I told my brother to leave Fatimah for me because I planned to marry her, but he would not listen to me and he kept on seeing her until one day, I lost my temper and killed her.

“Look at what it has resulted to; I am now a murderer. I am going to spend all my life in jail from the age of 16; it is unfortunate.”

Niger State Police Public Relations Officer, Mohammad Abubakar, has revealed that the suspect has confessed to his crimes, claiming he killed his victim with a cutlass. He also confessed to threatening her before then.

The suspect is due to be arraigned in court after investigation.

Man shoots 15-feet long python that swallowed his dog

See the 15-feet long python a man shot for swallowing his dog

This incredible event happened in Anambra.

Animal rights are important, but staying alive is ‘importanter.’ That is why a lady thanked God after she was saved from the snake which crept into her  shop.

While animal venom is being synthesized into drugs to treat conditions like cancer, diabetes and autoimmune diseases, the raw dose of snake venom is lethal and can be fatal.

Usually, snakes target animals and that was the case in Anambra State when a man reportedly shot a python that swallowed his dog.

According to Linda Ikeji’s Blog, the snake had reportedly crept into the shooter’s house located at Oba junction, Anambra State, in the middle of the night and swallowed his dog. As is famous, when snakes swallow big creatures, they are rarely able to move and that likely happened to this snake.

When the shooter discovered what had happened, he went home to get his gun to shoot the incredibly long python dead. See the photos here;
