Afrobeat singer, Mr Eazi, is in the eye of the storm -— on Nigerian Twitter — for stating that present day Nigerian sound was influenced by Ghanaian music.
The Headies Awards ‘Next Rated’ winner on Wednesday night desperately sought to make fans understand his argument, but all he got was a barrage of attacks and criticism.
Undeterred, Mr Eazi said although Nigerian music is a major force in Africa, “the new bounce is Ghana”.
“Ghana’s influence on present day “Naija Sound” cannot be over emphasized. Naija music is & has been a major force affecting the entire African scene. Quality, riddim, business,” said the artiste whose real name is Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade.

@mreazi Your actions this evening are the side effects of eating Ghana Jollof. Continue with your Ghana, don't let us see you in Lagos.— General Sani Abacha (@VillageParrot) 11 January 2017
