Two people reportedly died, while seven others were injured, yesterday morning, in an auto crash involving a Volvo car, with number plates SMK 275 CG, and a Toyota Sienna with number plates KRD 80 CL, in Ogun State.
An eyewitness said the accident occurred near Nairaland Oil and Gas axis and Odogbolu Junction inward Ijebu-Ode.
The eyewitness added that the vehicles involved were speeding and that the accident occurred when one of the drivers tried to overtake the other.
The bodies were deposited at Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital, OOUTH, Ago Iwoye, while the injured were taken to Babcock University Teaching Hospital.
The rescue operation, as gathered by Vanguard, was jointly carried out by men of Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, TRACE; Nigeria Police Force and Federal Road Service Corps, FRSC.
TRACE image-maker, Babatunde Akinbiyi, who confirmed the development to Vanguard, said two males were among the injured, while the casualties were two males.
