Lagos State Ministry of Health has cleared Queen’s College, Yaba, closed down in the wake of the outbreak of water borne diseases that killed three students, to reopen
This was made known at a meeting held on Friday in the school. The meeting was attended by the school Principal, Mrs. Aduke Abiola Are, the Chairman of the PTA, Sir John Ofobike, and President, Queen’s College Old Girls Association, (QCOGA), Dr .Frances Funmi Ajose, among others.
One of those who attended the meeting said that despite some works ongoing in the school such as the completion of mosquito nets in the hostels, cleaning and sweeping of the dormitories, the school was set to resume soon. “By and large, all is now set for resumption any moment from now as the management and the Federal Ministry of Education are expected to deliberate within the next few days on the new school’s time table and schedule of resumption”, he said.
