EGCDF, Chevron committed to devt of host communities – Ukori

Chairman, Egbema Gbaramatu Communities Development Foundation, EGCDF,  Delta State, Mr. Jude Ukori, has said that the foundation and its sponsor, Chevron Nigeria Limited, wre committed to providing human and infrastructural development to the host communities in Egbema and Gbaramatu kingdoms.

Ukori, in his inaugural speech after he was sworn into office in Warri, Delta State, said: “EGCDF shall continue to  provide the enabling environment for the smooth operations of Chevron and its subsidiaries. In return, we expect Chevron and the government to yield to our yearnings and aspirations.”

He promised to run an inclusive and open door policy, calling on Delta State Government, Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Ministry of Niger Delta, DESOPADEC and NGOs to give maximum support to EGCDF to fast tract development in the host communities.

Meanwhile, in his speech, the immediate past chairman, Chief Michael Johnny, said his administration completed and commissioned 116 projects and urged Egbema and Gbaramatu communities to give total support to the new executives led by Jude Ukori.
