Save high life music in Igboland from extinction —Agu

By Chinonso Alozie, Owerri

The portfolio Manager, mainstream and stout, Nigeria Breweries, Mr. Emmanuel Agu, said there should be a practical step to save high life music in Igboland from going into extinction. Agu stated this during the unveiling of high life fest 2017, in Owerri.

According to him, high life music in Igboland was a journey that goes along way in presenting the culture of the easterners.

He said:” what we have done is the ground breaking of life continental lager beer and we call this platform high life fest. “The life beer has it origin from the east and we are aware that the culture of an average Igboman is filled with entrepreneurial spirit and progressive mind, and for this reason that we thought it wise to support their business ideas. “We also noted that aside their businesses and endeavors, an Igbo man is also somebody who likes to enjoy life and part of the enjoyment involves music.

“High life is a journey of music that is well known in this part of the world and we have noticed that very few play it now.”
