UGHELLI—THE Ovie of Ughelli Kingdom, HRM Wilson Oharisi III, Delta State, yesterday, commenced activities to mark his 25th coronation anniversary with a charge on the people of the kingdom to have trust in God.
Giving the charge in his sermon during the monarch’s thanksgiving ceremony at All Saints Cathedral Church, Ughelli, Rev Canon G.O.C Amrevwobrise, noted that it was God alone that could confer the status of righteousness on anyone on the basis of faith in him.
The cleric reiterated that “Faith is trust in God who cannot fail. Our trust in God must be implicit, it must be total and unshakeable.”
In a brief chat, HRM Oharisi III thanked God for his life, adding that the kingdom was blessed by God with prominent sons and daughters who have distinguished themselves in their respective fields.
He urged the people to sustain the existing peace in the kingdom, saying that development could only be achieved in a peaceful atmosphere.
He urged government at all levels to site development projects that would provide employment for the people.
He equally charged youths to shun actions that would scare investors from the kingdom.
