THE Lagos State Secretariat Community Central Mosque, Ikeja, Lagos, has inaugurated an 11-member branch Executive Committee for the newly commissioned Shamsi Adisa Thomas (SAT) Mosque, Old Secretariat, Ikeja.
The new branch executive committee which was inaugurated on behalf of the Board of Trustees (BoT) by the former Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary in the Lagos State Ministry of Justice, Mr. Lawal Alade Pedro is chaired by a director in the Teachers Establishments and Pensions Office (TEPO), Alhaji Ganiyu Shodipe.
Mr. Lawal Pedro (SAN) who administered the oath of office on members of the new executive, enjoined them to put the fear Allah first in their discharge of the onerous task of managing the edifice and ensure that they render selfless service to the generality of Muslim worshipers.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Chairman, Secretariat Community Central Mosque, Alhaji Saheed Animashahun, urged the branch executives to exhibit a great sense of humility and absolute commitment in the discharge of their duty, noting that the edifice which was completed at a huge cost of N175 million requires utmost commitment of all and must be guided jealously in order to protect the structure from abuse.
