Oleh monarch’s coronation anniversary begins May 7

THE 80th birthday and 23rd coronation anniversary of the Odiologbo of Oleh Kingdom, Isoko South Local Government Area, Delta State, HRM Anthony Ovrawah, will commence May 7, 2017 with an interdenominational church service at the Oleh Civic Centre.

A statement by Chief Anthony Okoro, Chairman Organising Committee, said that the weeklong event will continue on May 8, with cultural display and dances as well as the paying of traditional homage by various quarters, corporate organisations, philanthropists, groups, individuals and other Isoko communities, while secondary schools debate and anniversary lecture will come up on May 9.

2017 at Oleh Civic Centre by 9a.m.

According to the statement, conferment of chieftaincy titles on sons and friends of Oleh Kingdom will be held at the monarch’s palace  on May 10, 2017, while visits to orphanage homes at Oleh and Irri communities and a novelty football match by Oleh and Ozoro Community Council of Chiefs at Isoko Central School comes up on May 11, 2017.

The statement added that the grand finale of the event comes up May 13, 2017 with a church service at St. John’s Catholic Church, while the reception follows at Oleh Township Stadium with the cutting of 80th birthday cake, cultural dances entertainment and refreshment.
