ASABA—AN ex-militant, self- styled ‘Commander’ Gabriel Ebuo, has raised alarm over the alleged stoppage of his monthly stipends by authorities of the Presidential Amnesty Programme.
Speaking with newsmen in Asaba, Delta State, Ebuo, a member of the Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta, MEND, who was documented under the Phase Three of the amnesty programme, lamented the non-payment of his five months stipend, saying that he was exempted from those who were recently paid three months stipends.
Urging the Coordinator of the amnesty programme, Brig-Gen Paul Boro (retd) to release his salary he said: “I don’t know why he has decided not to pay me.”
