Firm expresses commitment to transform construction industry in Nigeria

AS part of its commitment towards promoting speed, reliability and flawless execution of projects in the Nigeria’s construction industry, Bosch Power Tools, a global supplier of technology and services, has developed a ‘power box’ concept to help its users complete the most arduous tasks in construction works.

The Vice President Sales, Africa, for the company, Mr. Vonjy Rajakoba, speaking during a stakeholders’ meeting in Lagos, said that in spite of the fact that the Nigeria’s construction industry employs over 20 million people, majority of these workers rely on hand tools which cannot guarantee professionalism rather than power tools.

Rajakoba said the company’s commitment is to simplify the whole process in the  construction industry, “with our power box concept, all the people along the value chain will be supported as they add value to their work.”

“Bosch’s investment and commitment to the Nigerian economic development is evidenced by the establishment of offices in different parts of Nigeria that comprise warehouses and after sales outlets managed by professional sales, marketing and logistics specialists. We offer you the appropriate spare parts for your tools such as angle grinders or drills; from the armature, to the carbon brushes, through to the batteries and chargers.”

Rajakoba said that the company’s  presence in Nigeria is to better understand their customers and bring service closer to them, “We cannot define solution from Germany, that was why we came down to better understand how we can add value to our product users.”

“Presently in Nigeria, we have 15 associates of which majority are in Lagos, Port Harcourt and Abuja. We also organise training and conferences for our sales partners and end users with plans in place to extend our service.

Corroborating his view, Bosch Country Sales Director in Nigeria, Mr. Frank Diermann, said there are qualified technicians who undertake tools repairs and services faster.
