Man kills brother in Enugu‎ ‎

ENUGU- A Man identified as Romanus Asogwa, on Monday, allegedly killed his own brother, Fidelis Asogwa, with a plank, at Ohodo community in Igboetiti local government Area of Enugu state.

A misunderstanding was said to have ensued‎ between the deceased and the suspect in a family meeting convened by their mother, Mrs. Theresa Asogwa, who was said to had invited the deceased formerly residing in Port Harcourt, Rivers state, for the meeting.

It was further gathered that the misunderstanding was said to had bothered on a piece of land and economic trees there in the land.

‎It was further gathered that in the course of the quarrel Romanus Asogwa did not hesitate to hit the brother, Fidelis, with a plank on his head which left him unconscious and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty.

‎Enugu state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Ebere Amaraizu, said that the suspect, Romanus has been arrested together with their mother, Theresa, and are helping the police in the investigations.

Amaraizu further disclosed that the dead body of the deceased has been deposited at a hospital mortuary in the community.
