UNITED States of America, USA, Consul General, Mr. John Bray, has commended Nigerian in their pursuit for academic excellence, being the leading African country with 10,674 of her students studying in 730 colleges in America.
Bray, the Consular Mission’s representative to the Nigerian people in the south, and who handled academic and business activities of Nigerians to USA, made this known at the 2017 Education USA Pre-Departure Orientation organised for Nigerians who received various scholarships to study in the states. Among these were seven Nigerians that have received financial aid and full scholarship through EducationUSA Opportunity Fund.
While also appreciating the efforts of EducationUSA Advisory Centre in Lagos that has enabled several US universities to give scholarships to Nigerians that have totaled over $2 million this year alone, the Consular called on Nigerians to be exceptional ambassadors, adding, “you will be the next given leaders to continue Nigeria’s remarkable impacts to nations.”
