KATSINA – Two custom officers attached to the Katsina Area command were reportedly shot dead by unidentified gunmen in the state.
The incident was said to have happened late hours of Sunday night at the Dogon Hawa, Shargele in Dutsi Local government area of the state.
Information gathered by our reporter revealed that the men were on operation patrol when the incident happened along the Daura – Katsina road.
When contacted, the Customs Public Relations Officer, Theophilus Peter Duniya confirmed the incident to our correspondent.
Duniya identified the officers killed as ASC Babandi Nurudeen and CSC Maidamma Yabo.
The Custom PRO however, said investigations are on to ascertain who are the killers as to whether they are armed robbers or assailants.
