ABUJA-The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP national secretariat turned to a Mecca of sort as the party held a national caucus meeting Tuesday.
The meeting, the second in the series of meeting since last Wednesday ruling by the Supreme Court was attended by top party leaders across the country.
As early as 11.45 AM, supporters of the party thronged the secretariat in joyous mood. At the sight of any bigwig, they erupted into praise singing with the hope of getting some rewards. In most cases, all they got was a wave of the hand.
Some of the early arrivals were Governors Ayodele Fayose, Ifeanyi Okowa, Nyesom Wike and Emmanuel Udom.
Also in attendance are Senator Ben Obi, Chief Bode George, Professor Jerry Gana, Sule Lamido, Senator Ike Ekweremadu and Senator Abdul Ningi.
Few minutes after the arrival of the party chairman, Senator Ahmed Makarfi, the meeting commenced with an opening prayer led by former governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Sule Lamido.
The meeting dissolved into a close door session with the media asked to step out of the hall.
