GOVERNOR Muhammad Badaru Abubakar has re-affirmed the commitment of his administration to promote Islamic activities in the state. The governor gave the assurance at the launching of appeal fund for the construction of Izala secretariat in Dutse, commended the Izala group for choosing Jigawa to conduct their annual national preaching and the appeal fund launching.
Governor Badaru explained that Muslim Ummah have benefited immensely from the preaching and assured the group of state government‘s readiness to honor their request when never they want to organize similar event in the state.
Alhaji Muhammad Badaru who outlined the current economic recession in the country, called on the people to continue praying for peace, stability and economic development of Nigeria and quick recovery of President Muhammadu Buhari
In his speech the National chairman of Izalatul Bidi‘a Wa‘ikamatus-sunnah, Sheikh Abdullahi Bala Lau described Jigawa as peaceful state and attributed the development to the leadership qualities of Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, called on the Muslim to always adhere strictly to the Islamic injunctions
In a related development, Over N19m was realized at the launching of appeal fund for the construction of Izala secretariat in Dutse. The chief launcher, Alhaji Isa Gerawa donated N5million, Alhaji Haruna Mai Fata Kwalam N2million, 27 local government councils N2.5million, while Senator Sabo Muhammad Nakudu and Jigawa state house of assembly donated N1million each.
Senator Ubali Shitu donated cash and working materials worth N3.3million, SSG‘s office N650,000, while Special Advisers donated N630,000. Other donation came from Head of civil service N230,000, Alhaji Babangida Umar Gantsa N100,000, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi Kemba Madobi N500,000, All Progressive Congress Jigawa state chapter N100,000 and Alhaji Muhammad Gausu Boyi N100,000 respectively.
