THE youth wing of the social-cultural and political pressure group, Urhobo Progress Union, UPU, has called on the Federal Government to ignore calls by “some selfish and mischief-makers” for the sack of the Executive Director of Project, EDP, of Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Engr. Sam Adjogbe, describing same as ill-informed, unfortunate and desperate.
The UPU Youth President, Mr. Nicholas Omoko, who addressed journalists in Oghara, Delta State, said: “We read with disappointment a group calling on the Federal Government to sack our son, Adjogbe, the Executive Director of Project, EDP, of NDDC.
“The group, unfortunately, could not point out any tangible and verifiable reason that warranted the call, which is sensitive. We, the Urhobo youths, will not allow cheap blackmail of any kind from other ethnic nationalities,” calling on Adjogbe to continue with the good works at the commission.
