I paid huge ransom for my wife’s release from kidnappers —Seplat’s staff

Sapele – Mrs Susan Owumi, wife of a staff of Sapele based Seplat Petroleum Dev. Company Plc, Chief Anthony Owumi, on Thursday evening regained her freedom from kidnappers after 40 days in their den.

Her husband, Chief Owumi who confirmed her release to Vanguard on phone yesterday said, “My wife regained her freedom at about 4pm yesterday (Thursday) from the kidnappers after spending 40 days of ordeal in their den. They (kidnappers) released her after I had paid a huge ransom to them, I would not like to mention the amount in print.”
