LAGOS—THE National Directorate of Employment, NDE, has commenced its Solar Energy Training Scheme, SETS, in Lagos State for unemployed graduates to explore new areas of job creation and develop a critical sector.
Speaking during the launch of SETS, the Director-General of NDE, Dr. Nasiru Mohammed said power is the bedrock of sustained technological development of any nation.
Represented by Mr. Adebowale Ologbenla, NDE Lagos State Coordinator, Dr. Mohammed said: “NDE will not relent in her efforts to towards mass employment generation in SETS to key into the Federal Government’s target of attaining 30 percent renewable energy for the country by 2030.”
SETS, organised by NDE’s Special Public Works Department, with Mrs Achigbu H. I. as Director, comprise a week-long theoretical work and then attachment to master trainers for practicals free of charge
