
Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde doesn't feel his side lack a cutting edge in front of goal. Late on Sunday night, after Barcelona had lost the first official game of the Ernesto Valverde era, beaten 3-1 by Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup first leg, Sergio Busquets admitted that signings were needed "no matter what." Busquets was speaking after a performance which reaffirmed what many already knew: Valverde's side needs strengthening. Gerard Deulofeu failed to shimmer as Neymar's temporary replacement against Madrid but it's not just the world's most expensive player Barca were missing....
