
Every year since 1847, a couple of weeks after Easter, the fair comes to town setting up along the banks of the Guadalquivir and the centre of Seville bursts into even more life than normal. Each morning, horses parade, some pulling ornate carriages or carrying riders dressed like something from another age. The Maestraza bullring fills, as does the funfair, and for a week an endless stream of people gathers at the many casetas, temporary little houses set up as mini-bars and meeting points run...
