Disgruntled customer runs amok at Apple store in France

He was recorded slamming the ball down on several iPhones at the Toison d'Or shopping centre in Dijon as a security alarm rang loudly in the background.

Another clip uploaded online shows the man being confronted and scuffling with security staff outside the store, at one point he attempts to run away from them.

According to Mashable, the French-speaking man, believed to be in his 30s, claims in the video that Apple had refused him a refund.

"Apple is a company that 'violated' European consumers' rights. They refused to reimburse me, I told them: 'Give me my money back'. They said no. So you know what's happening? This is happening!" he yells [translated].

According to French media, "tens of thousands of euros" worth of damage was reported at the store and the man was arrested shortly after the incident.

The BBC reports that Apple have not commented on the incident and are currently working with French authorities investigating the footage.
