FG appoints NIA DG as Deputy Commissioner Technical, NAICOM

THE Federal Government has appointed Mr. Sunday Olorundare Thomas, the former director-general, Nigerian Insurers Association (NIA) as the deputy commissioner, technical, of the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) and Mr. Dikko Aliyu Abdulrahman, as director-general of the National Pension Commission (PenCom).

Thomas was the fifth director-general of the Nigerian Insurers Association (NIA) since May 1, 2010 until his new appointment.

He had worked as a director in charge of the Inspectorate Directorate at the National Insurance Commission from 1992 until December 2009 when he retired. Before his engagement at the Commission he had worked in the Insurance industry for over 10years where he rose to the position of assistant general manager at AIICO Insurance Plc and left in 1992.

Abdulrahman holds B.Sc (Accounting), from Ahmadu Bello University and M.Sc (Management Science), University of Manchester (UK).
