KATSINA – Chairman Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC Katsina State chapter, Tanimu Lawal Saulawa said no backlog or outstanding payment of workers salaries and pension or gratuity in the state.
Saulawa who stated this in an interview with Vanguard Correspondent, said workers salaries and pensioners were paid up to date in the state.
The Chairman appealed to the state government to sustain the tempo particularly that people in the state are salary dependant.
According to him, “In Katsina, we don’t have any unpaid salary, pension or gratuity. We are up to date.
“Our prayer is for the tempo to be sustained. Because as we know, Katsina is a state where we don’t have companies. People are salary dependant if people experience non payment of salaries. It is going to be a catastrophe,” Saulawa said.
It would be recalled that Katsina State got N3.304 billion and N14.5 billion as Bail-out and Paris Club funds respectively.
