Adeleke Varsity employs physically challenged graduate

By Gbenga Olarinoye

THE Pro-Chancellor of Adeleke University Ede, Osun State, Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, has given automatic employment to a physically challenged graduate of the university, Miss Odemo Sherifat.

Addressing the 2017 graduands at the third convocation ceremony at the permanent site of the university, Adeleke also announced that the university has also given Odemo full scholarship to do her master’s degree programme in the university.

Odemo of the Department of Political Science who was one of those already enjoying Adeleke’s scholarship, came out with second class upper division.

Adeleke also charged all well meaning Nigerians on the need to always assist the less privileged in pursuing their goals in life. He stressed that many minds are wasting out of the classroom simply because they lack financial capacity.

He said: “A mind is a terrible thing to waste and that is why I have been looking for ways to give back to the society. One of the aims of this school is to give hope to the hopeless and the less privileged in society.”
