Delta State APC Leaders Council resolves party issues

Delta State All Progressives Congress have  tendered  apology to the National Chairman of  the  party,  Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, over the actions of the erstwhile Delta State APC Elders and Leaders Committee and a number of publications that cast aspersions on Oyegun and the National Vice Chairman, South South.

The apology was tendered in a meeting of the Delta State APC Leaders Council, July 13, 2017 held in Abuja and hosted by the Minister of State, Petroleum, Dr Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu  and  co-chaired by Olorogun O’tega Emerhor.

The Delta State APC Leaders Council also agreed the apologize to the National Vice-Chairman, South-South, Ntufam Hillard Eta and members, National Working Committee, NWC, of the party, over the actions of the erstwhile “Delta State APC Elders and Leaders Committee ” who unilaterally constituted a State Caretaker Committee in place of the State Exco of the Delta state.

The Leaders Council want all  party members that still have cases in court against the party or other members, and vice-versa, are to immediately withdraw all such cases from court.

They also want the Delta State APC is to retract and apologize for all previous offensive publications against all individuals and in particular the publication that purportedly expelled the trio of Dr. Alex Ideh, Hon. Temi Harriman and Mr. A.S. Mene.

The party hereby retract the expulsion and tenders its unreserved apology to these persons.

The party wants to sustain the on-going peace building efforts within the party and the State Exco led by Prophet Jones Erue as State Chairman and also affirm that the State Exco is to stay and continue in office till the expiration of its tenure in April 2018.

The Leaders Council also want all State Exco members who were hitherto suspended or removed from their positions are to be immediately recalled.

They also need  a Unity Rally for all party members, and a Grand Reception for new joiner political heavy-weights, is to be held at a date and time to be announced shortly.

The meeting was attended by Prophet Jones Ode Erue,  Chief Frank Kokori, Chief Hyacinth Enuha, Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru,  Dr. Alex Ideh,  Rt. Hon. Victor Ochei

Hon. John Halims Agoda, Chief Adolo Okotie-Eboh, Pastor P. Z . Aginighan and other Delta chieftains.

In line with the party’s constitution and in order to expand participation by all party faithfuls, the State Exco agreed to constitute and inaugurate all constitutional organs of the party and enable membership.

The Leaders Forum is purely consultative and advisory body and shall be led by the Minister, Dr. Kachuchukwu and Olorogun O’tega Emerhor.

It  meets quarterly to review and set state party goals and resolve issues and the Leaders Forum will not be restricted but open to all everyone in the party.
