The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) on Friday appealed to the Delta State Government to promptly repair the collapsed overhead-water-storage tank at its orientation camp to ease water shortage.

Omotade said that the camp had been groping with water shortage in recent times.
He appealed to the state government to upgrade the facilities in the camp to meet up with its rising population.

Omotade commended Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta for his purpose-driven administration, which he said the scheme had continuously enjoyed.

He said that at the close of registration; 2,361 corps members, comprising of 1,521 males and 840 females registered for camping.

Also, Gov. Okowa said that his administration would continue to support the camp as parts of his administration’s efforts to bring meaningful development to the state.
Okowa, who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mr Ovie Agas, said the government was concerned about corps members welfare and security.

He admonished the corps members to bury all fears and anxieties as to what the service year holds for them in Delta.
He said that the government would work assiduously to facilitate the provision of enabling environments  and comfort for them all through the service year.
