Abductors of Katsina bizman’s daughter want N100m ransom

KATSINA—THE abductors of Mansur Abubakar, Katsina State-born business mogul’s daughter, Nana Mansur, have demanded N100 million as ransom.

A source, who pleaded anonymity, made the disclosure of the ransom yesterday.

Unknown gunmen, in the early hours of Saturday, abducted Nana in place of her father.

An eyewitness, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the gunmen, numbering about 20, stormed the business mogul’s house on motorbikes and cars in search of the businessman.

However, they took his daughter when they could not locate the businessman. The source said the unknown gunmen also took away one of the businessman’s cars.

The incident, which was said to have happened between 11:30p.m. Friday night and early hours of Saturday. occurred in the businessman’s Malumfashi resident in Malumfashi Local Government Area of Katsina State.

The Katsina Police Command is yet to release an official statement confirming the incident.
