Apah lauds Okowa, Nani on Otu-Jeremi flood control

By Gab Ejuwa

Leader of Ughelli South Local Government Council Legislative Arm, Delta State, Mr. Sunday Apah, has commended Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State and Commissioner for Environment, Mr. John Nani, for the quick response to the flood situation in Otu-Jeremi.

According to Apah, “it is a good initiative by the government because my people have been suffering for a very long time. Many have been rendered homeless because of the flood. For government to come to our rescue at this time is quite commendable.

“I appreciate the efforts of the Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Nani, whose team made it possible to execute the state government’s decision to de-flood Otu-Jeremi community. I thank him and I pray that God will bless him.”

Apah, who spoke at Otu-Jeremi, however, appealed to government to “extend the good gesture to other areas in Ughelli South, particularly Ewu, Gbaregolor, Ughevwughe, Oto-Edo, Okwagbe and others that are suffering more than Otu-Jeremi.”
