Friends and colleagues of Professor Abubakar Momoh will today, hold a commendation lecture to mark his 53rd post-humous birthday at the Lagos State University.
The lecture, titled: Pan-Africanism Today, will be delivered by the renowned scholar, Professor Georges Nzongola-Ntalaja of the Centre for African, African-American and Diaspora Studies, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hills, United States of America.
Eminent guests expected to grace the occasion include: Prof. Attahiru Jega, former Chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Dr. Olisa Agbakoba, Former President, Nigerian Bar Association; Prof. Adele Jinadu, a former Dean of Faculty of Social Sciences, Lagos State University; Prof. Tunde Babawale, Former Director–General, Centre for Black African Arts and Civilisation (CBAAC) and Prof Kayode Soremekun, Vice Chancellor, Federal University Oye, Ekiti.
Professor Momoh passed on last May after a brief illness.
