The chairmanship hopeful, who was flanked by some of his supporters, thanked leaders and people of his ward for electing him councillor to represent the ward about three years ago, noting that the meeting afforded him the rare opportunity to express his gratitude as well as canvass their backing in his quest at becoming the next Chairman of Warri South.
In his address, Chair-man of Obodo/Ubeji Ward 1, Mr. Peter Oghomienor, advised against imposition of candidates.
He appealed to PDP leaders at the state and local government levels to allow “the rural area produce the chairman for political balance.”
