MAIDUGURI—The Borno State Police Command, yesterday, confirmed an early morning multiple suicide attacks on communities in Maiduguri, the state capital.
Earlier, a statement by the Police Commissioner, Damian Chukwu, said only the three suicide bombers were killed with no other casualty.
However, the same Command issued another statement that three civilians were also killed in separate suicide attacks near Mainari village along 185km on Maiduguri-Damboa-Biu Road.
According to a new police statement from the Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Murtala Ibrahim, “At about 5a.m., three female suicide bombers attempted to infiltrate Mamanti village in Jere council.
“At 7:30a.m., another suicide bomb incident was foiled at Mainari Kanuri.”
