Niger Delta Youth Vanguard for APC, yesterday, commended Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, led by Nsima Ekere, on ongoing development projects in the region and the about six rehabilitated roads in Rivers State communities.
A statement by the President of the group, Mr. Fredrick Ujobolo, said that under the new dispensation, the commission has completed several vital projects in the nine states of the Niger Delta region.
He said, “We recognise the rapid repairs of roads in the Niger Delta region within a short period of time this management came into power. For example, in Rivers State communities, about six vital road repairs were completed. We also hail the commission for massive youth empowerment initiative programmes that will lead to job creation for youths and address the youth restiveness in the region. Also not left out is the empowerment of women through the introduction of small scale business initiative to address the hardship faced by woman in the Niger Delta region.
“We equally commend the Managing Director of the commission and his team for resuscitating the abandoned rice mill in Rivers State, which will generate jobs especially for the youths.”
