I Didn’t Inform My Dad I Was Participating In #BBNaija – Debie-Rise

One of the ultimate housemates in the just concluded Big Brother Naija reality television show, Debie-Rise, has said that her dad was unhappy she participated in the show.According to her, she couldn’t disclose to her dad that she would be participating in the show because she knew he would be unhappy about it.Debie-rise, born Deborah Ebun Oluwarise, also revealed that her father who is a pastor has not always accepted her chosen career path.Read what she said in some of her media tours below:“Apart from the fact that my father is a pastor, I feel like I’m a typical girl with a good cultural upbringing from the north where parents are very protective of their children or they are just worried about the outside world like the city life.So, I understood it as to the kind of life he wanted for me. I know he wants the best for me and he was just trying his best.I didn’t want a situation whereby I would inform him of my intentions to go and then he would say no. I did that because once he said no, then I couldn’t go because it would be disobedient.
So, I wanted to be smart, go for it and tell him, ‘daddy I have gone, please pray for me’ like Dare Art Alade sang and I’m happy I did it.He wasn’t initially impressed and didn’t like that idea and he actually called the producers of the event and asked me to come back home.He said he was not happy at all but then I was able to convince him and beg him.Before I returned home, I was a bit scared and I wasn’t sure he would be happy.I won’t lie, I was just hoping I made him proud in the house and when I finally placed a call to him, he said something like, ‘now you have my time abi?’
And I apologized and asked him if I made him proud and he just said “I love you my daughter” and that is just what I want you to know, that my parents are proud of me and I’m looking forward to going home and paying them a visit.“

#BBNaija: It Took 7 Hours of Discussion to Decide Kemen’s Disqualification – Ebuka

Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, the host of the 2017 Big Brother Naija reality TV show host, revealed that it took the stakeholders of the show seven hours to disqualify Kemen. During the reality show, Kemen, who was caught on camera fondling TBoss without her consent, was disqualified from the show after he was found guilty of sexual harassment.Ebuka revealed this while speaking with Toolz on Beat FM on Tuesday. The BBNaija host said the heads,The BBNaija host said the heads, organizers and sponsors of the show sat down together after Kemen was caught on camera fondling TBoss without her approval.He added that it took ‘7 hours’ of discussion and deliberations to disqualify him.According to him, there are like seven to eight stages one would have to undergo during the auditions of the show before gaining entry into the house.
He also said that the ability of a housemate to be their selves during the audition stages and in the house is what makes the game easy to play.

#BBNaija: If I Had Won The N25 Million, I Would Have Shared It With ThinTallTony – Bisola

First-runner-up in the 2017 edition of Big Brother Naija and ONE campaign ambassador, Abisola Aiyeola, has said that if she had won the N25 million, she would have shared it with ThinTallTony. The former housemate who recently granted The Sun an interview, said that she recalls saying the same thing to Big Brother in one of her diary sessions during the span of the reality show.She further explained that if she had won and found out that he was married outside of the show, she would specifically rule it out and let him know that the money is for herself and her family.Bisola expressed elation about being the chosen ONE ambassador, saying she would be attending a UN conference in September this year.Read some parts of the interview below:
What attracted you to Thin Tall Tony?
Tony was the oldest in the house, so I saw him as a mature person and very creative. I learnt a lot from him. At the same time like I said, I went to the House to have fun. My daughter, my mum, my sister and everyone close to me can tell how playful I am. I love to tickle and tease. I love to jump on people, bite and all that. Back in the House, it was only Tony that welcomed that because he is energetic. I didn’t know he was married. If I had known, ha! Somebody’s husband? I beg o, me I no dey do that kind of thing o. And there were times I asked him questions like ‘hope I am not getting on your nerves?’ and he would say ‘no, no’ and it was fine for me. We were living in a house where there was no television, no Internet, no social media and your family was not there. So, you have to make people around you your entertainment. Yeah, that was it with TTT.
Do you think he likes you romantically?No, I wouldn’t call it romantic, because I could remember he told me it was Tboss he was crushing on, and I was cool with that. But for me, I think if me and someone are friends and he told me that he likes someone else, that shouldn’t stop our friendship. You do your thing while I do mine; that shouldn’t hinder the friendship for anything. TTT is still my friend no matter what. 
Did you suspect at anytime that Tony might be married or in a relationship with kids?
Not at all! No! That’s why I said he is a good actor. He acted his script to the best of his ability, but I feel he should have told me because it is such a big deal. That was what I felt. I was misled.
If you were the one that won the money and you didn’t know he was married, would you have shared with him?
Definitely! I remember I had a diary session in the House, and Big Brother asked that if I won, which of the housemates would I love to share the money with? And I mentioned Tony. But if I had won and found out he was married, I would say ‘uncle, you never told me you were married o! This money is not for you, it is for my family.
How do you feel being an ambassador for One?
I feel good to be part of One campaign. I know what my mother went through to raise me up till secondary school level. This is a huge and great privilege, and I am looking forward to the meeting with the UN in New York by September. I am really grateful to God that they picked me.

Over 26 million votes were recorded for the final of the just concluded reality TV show, Big Brother Naija 2017 “See Gobee” which saw Efe emerged as winner of the 25 million naira prize money and KIA Sorrento SUV.Ebuka Obi–Uchendu, disclosed this via his twitter handle @Ebuka “Over 26 milliom votes. An African record. #BBNaija’’.This comes after the top five housemates were asked to campaign for votes on Thursday, April 5, 2017 in which they stated reasons why they should be given the chance the win the game.The Payporte sponsored show had earlier recorded over 11 million votes last week when Bally, Marvis, Debie-Rise and Tboss were up for nomination which saw Bally being evicted from the house.The final week witnessed aggressive votes from the fans who wanted their favorites to win. This was featured with online campaigns, tours and rallies in order to canvass votes for their preferred housemates.Campaign teams for the top five housemates took to social media to educate fans on how to vote for through the endorsed We Chat Application and text messages with hash tags trending for each housemate.The show which came to an end yesterday saw the winner; Efe scored 57.61 per cent of the total votes closely followed by Bisola’s 18.54 per cent, Tboss’ 16.60 per cent, Debie-Rise’s 8.78 per cent and Marvis’ 1.47 per cent.

#BBNaija: Efe, Bisola, Tboss, Marvis, Debie-Rise Tell Biggie Their Biggest Rivals Ahead of Grand Finale

On Tuesday, which is Day 71 of the Big Brother Naija reality show, Biggie questioned the remaining five housemates, on who they felt their biggest rivals for the grand prize of N25million was.

At the Diary session, the housemates also told Biggie, their strategy for the final week and what they think their fate will be on Sunday.Efe insisted he was not under pressure and had planned to live life to the fullest in the final week, while naming Bisola as his biggest competition.In Bisola’s opinion, any one of the five contestants left can win the prize money.Marvis admitted that Bisola is her biggest threat, but remained positive that she can make it.TBoss said she was not sure how she had made it this far, but stated that she now has her eyes on the prize.Debie-Rise told Biggie that she had the discipline of a winner, so she was set to put up her best act this week.The winner for this year’s Big Brother Naija, will be announced this Sunday at the grand finale.

#BBNaija: My Sister Is Being Hated By Nigerians Because She’s Light-skinned – TBoss’ Younger Sister

TBoss Younger sister, Wendy Idowu has said her sister is being hated by Nigerians because she’s light-skinned.According to her, growing up was really a hard one for them, because they had a different skin color and hair texture that made them stand out.



Wendy Idowu also disclosed that growing up in Nigeria, people saw them as whites, and with that they never blended in and had to travel down to Romania to complete their studies.Wendy also hinted that for TBoss to stay up to 11weeks in the house without being evicted, Nigerians are beginning to see her as a real human with real emotions.Here’s what she wrote:“Growing up we faced a lot of challenges but the major challenge we faced was “Acceptance”. Having a different skin color and hair texture made us stand out and we never felt like we truly belonged. Apart from a few good friends we never belonged to any cliques or groups like other people.Growing up in Nigeria people saw us as white and we never really blended in, so we were relieved to travel to Romania for our university education, just to get there and be called blacks. In Romania we got to find out the true definition of racism. Some Nigerians might not flow with you cos you don’t have same skin color as them but they won’t resort to violence but in Romania a “few people” could be real extremists. So once again acceptance was a problem cos people look at your skin color and think of you differently. For TBoss all that has come to an end now, after 11 weeks in the #bigbrothernaija2017 house people have actually begun to see TBoss as a real human, with real feelings and emotions, she gets happy, sad, angry, depressed, heartbroken and excited like every other human being, she plays, she eats, she drinks, she sleeps and has aspirations and goals like everyone else and for the first time the world has accepted her and stood by her side and fought for her. For this we can never stop saying thank you!!!

Big Brother Naija’s Evicted housemate, ThinTallTony has said he did not deny his family while on the show and what happened between him and Bisola under the covers was not real.In an interview with Beat FM yesterday 21st March, Thin Tall Tony revealed that he had a conversation with his wife before going into the show and because they are very private people who like to keep their private lives private, they agreed he should keep his family out of the show.Responding to a question on whether he had such discussion with his wife, TTT said:“Yes, before I went into the house, myself and my wife, we did speak. We are very private people so we like to keep our private lives private, she’s my backbone and I can’t make any decision without her asking or directing me. So, she made it clear before I went into the House that you keep my family out of it. I want the world to know you for who you are, your talent, which is what I have been hustling with.”As he answered, Maria Okan, one of the On-Air-Personalities interjected him, saying,“Save your breath… Hold on… So how do we know that you are not lying?
